This fixed-focal length lens is perfect for portraits and good for the bokeh!!! All pictures shot on a Nikon D3100 with the 35mm f/1.8G lens. Sample images link.. www.flickr.com

    yes..the nikon 35mm f/1.8G lens has two focus modes, M/A (manual override autofocus) and M (manual focus).

    I know that the 50mm 1.8D does not autofocus on my D60 ´cos the D60 does not have built in motor such as the D80 for instance. I´m not sure to get the 35,,af-s ´cos it seems that is more of the same. But I dunno! Thankx Man =)

    35mm AF-S 1.8 Lense have Silent Wave Motor (SWM) for quiet focus operation even with cameras without built-in motors such as the Nikon D40 and Nikon D60, but i am not sure whether 50mm 1.8D lense has built-in motors focus or not.

    I´ve got a D60. If I already have a 50mm 1.8D lense. Should I get the 35mm AF-S 1.8 Lense?

    yes..This low cost, high performance lens and good in low-light situation
