Original Upload Date: July 21, 2009 Remember the times when you ever achieve level-99 on any skill, and you just feel proud of yourself and decide to upload a footage of you getting a level 99? Well those days are pretty old, and I’m sure not so many people are interested in that anymore I’m afraid. :/ This is a compilation of me getting 5 combat skills to level 99 in the following order: Hitpoints (now known as Constitution since the ×10 update), Attack, Ranged, Magic and Strength. Defence was not included at the time and I never managed to film that when I got it to 99 after the five skills. :/ I made it a compilation of five 99’s because back then, showing off just ONE lvl 99 skill, especially the easy-to-get skills (ex.: Fishing, Cooking, Fletching, Woodcutting) were just way too common and mainstream. Videos like these may not get much attention since there’s so many players that can achieve level 99’s without wasting a lot of effort, and due to updates making the game so easy, that it’s not easy-level-grinding like it was before. FINAL NOTE: Those Random outbursts in the video contain a lot of videogame/movie references. Let’s see if you can guess where they’re originated. 😛

Nikon D3100 Short Movie Test – 03.05.11

28 Jan

Testing out 1080p movie mode in raw format, as well as my film editing skills. About 80% captured using a Nikon Series E 50mm f1.8 lens in manual mode. I also used the stock lens (Nikkor 18-55mm AF f3.5) for a couple sequences. All sequences shot with manual focus. Various indoor shots, day and night. Lots of low light situations. Music by Charlie Parker, “Bird of Paradise,” 1947 – Featuring Miles Davis.

The film, “Energy of Colors” was created using the vibrant hues of Okinawa’s flora and fauna to symbolize life itself. While on location, the photographer took advantage of the D5000’s Vari-angle monitor while shooting with a tripod as well as when capturing small creatures such as hermit crabs at low angles. Using an ND filter to maintain maximum aperture, the photographer was able to utilize beautifully cinematic image blur, thanks to the D5000’s large image sensor. AE lock was used to keep the same exposure level when panning. Combine these steps with the radiant Okinawan sunshine and the result is the impressive D-Movie footage you see here.

D3100 Examples of high ISO settings star photos

11 Jan

Just a quick example of the different ISO settings I have attempted to use in my attempts to carry out time lapse of the star filled night sky. This is an FYI just to give you an idea of the quality that you can capture using ISO 1600 or ISO 1800 and also the difference in the amount of stars you can pick up. Shutter speed obviously plays a part as well but this video is to highlight what you could expect from higher ISO settings in regards to capturing stars at night. Hope it helps.
