it’s funny how the grip is used…it seems like he forgot the purpose of it in portrait shooting! 🙂

I’ve seen more lively personalities at a funeral. Also, facial expressions are a good thingThey let the viewer know you’re alive!

Your using a battery grip and your still using the shutter button on your camera and not on the grip. Defeats the point of a grip other than battery life.

@xaxdrax1 the 600D, 60D or 7D only uses the pop-up flash to trigger external flash and so can ONLY do 1st curtain sync. So it can’t do 2nd curtain of HSS..

your exlpanation is wrong. the flash doesnt sync with the rear shutter. because the curtains are moving so fast HSS lets the flash shoots multiple flashes so you get an equal exposure over the whole image.

Can you use the built in wireless function of the 60D rather than using a cable?

it makes sense but cant actually focus and compose with a ND400 filter mounted, its gonna be too dark and a good ND400 costs about 100 USD

Very good explanation. I have the same equipment – 60d, 430 ex ii, and it appears we have the same softbox as well. I’m going to order the flash cable right now.
