Hello, Today I am going to be unboxing a factory refurbished Nikon D7000. The reason I decided to get furbished was because it is considerably cheaper than buying a new one and I wanted to see what kind of condition the camera was in, seeing as it was refurbished. Overall I am really impressed with the Nikon D7000 and am loving the improved ISO performance along with the very high-quality video that this camera produces. I am also impressed at the quality of the refurbished product. It’s as new as new gets! The camera came with 1600 shutter actuation’s, which is really only 1% of the entire camera “rated” shutter life. Not bad! If you’re in the market for a new camera and want a superb camera for your money I would definitely suggest this camera. It’s near perfect. I’m anticipated to see what the D7000 replacement will bring to the table. Thank you, chargerfun34

what do you mean wouldn’t turn off like you turn it off and it goes in to a sleep mode? or it stayed on all the way?

Well, after using the D7000 for a couple of weeks, I found a huge problem that it had (it wouldn’t turn off). So I returned it, but, you could easily get a copy that works flawlessly. If it is broke, return it. Just use it a ton in those 30 days in every condition and way you can think of to rule out all possible variables.

It’s actually because of the H.264 Compression that Nikon use’s, it has limitations. One of those being that it can record no longer than 30 minutes at a time no matter the Mb/sec option.

I believe it is dependent on how long it takes the APC sensor to overheat, not battery life or men card size.

Quick question, I’m looking at getting a refurb D7000, does it come with a warranty at all? Thanks.

if you press the button in the auto focus switch and turn turn the back or front dial (cant remember) but it will change the auto focus from AF-A AF-C and AF-S easy!

Currently… Nothing. Sold everything so I could pre-order the D800. Well, not everything. I just sold my DX glass and bodies since the D800 is a full-frame.
Thank you,

You mentioned checking the number of shutter actuations. Did you do this and how many did it have on it?

Good to know it was renewed, I’ll be buying 1 year warranty for mine, just in case something like that happens.

Hi mate just be careful for this version of camera, One of my friend bought the refurbished D7000 last year. However, after the 90 days, the camera was died. The oil leaked on the censor of the camera. He went to the Nikon service store three times but they did not do anything but cleaned the mirror…… and my friend still need to pay for it. Few days ago, he can not turn on the camera…. So….. Good luck~ Hope your one is better than his.
