Here is my 8-9months old Black Mex Kingsnake eating his first ever live hopper. Previously he has been on pinkies and fuzzies. With the smaller mice he has been biting only with not much constricting. However, this larger hopper triggered the natural instincts in him to strike and constrict. Video was recorded on a DSLR Nikon D90.

    Hey there, do you know “photo SFX art” (just search on Google for it …)? There you can watch a smart free video showing how to take incredible pictures. This helped Joe to take photographs which have that jaw-dropping-effect while you take a look at them. Hopefully it helps you as well…

    High f stop gives high dof but still need to controll focus

    If you’re looking to get a shallow depth of field with that kind of rig, you’re not going to have an easy time of it. I had one and I usually left my lens at infinity. This isn’t the kind of rig you want to use for continuous movement thus why its cheaper

    depending on what kind of screw you have, most likely it’s a quarter twenty you just screw it in.
    Now if that isn’t look into a variable friction arm + a super clamp.
    Thatll stay on anything
