An experiment in after effects where I tried to create an energy ball that is motiontracked to the hand palm. Software – After Effects + Boujou (black dots in the hand where used for proper motion tracking..)

Btw you have the best energy ball on youtube, that is why I want to make a video like this one. This inspired me to learn after effects and visual effects.

Hi I am trying to make a video just like this but I am having a lot of trouble, I was wondering if you can help me, I have motion tracked my hand in boujou and transfered the information in after effects now my question is what do I do next? Do I parent the camera or one of the null objects or do I copy the position into my energy ball or maybe something entirely different? I never really ask questions because I can mostly find my answer through google, but for this I can’t. Thanks again.

Hi, well as it says in the title, it was made only in after effects. The blueish colouring is just an adjustment layer on top of all the others, and that contains a tint modifier, a curves adjustment, and a hue/saturation in the end. If i have them also in EMS Showcase, was purely random, maybe due to the fact that blue if my favorite color 🙂

Hey, the effect when its getting Blue/Grey, u have it in the EMS Showcase movie, its getting that colours and preatty awsome colours for a tm movie… is it just a overlay fixed with photoshop or is it in sony vegas? bcuz i really want the colours Bright with contrast WITH that “overlay” so its not getting to bright…. please reply ! 🙁

Looking good Mor! Now work on it some more and make a proper DBZ movie 😉 Not like the POS Dragonball Evolution!!

Think I will also give After Effects a try since lately I see so many people using it.
