This particular car was a favorite of mine that I caught at the SS Autopower event. Not only is it really clean all around, it’s a platform that not many people look to rock on the daily. Right on brutha!

Gotcha. 🙂 Yeah, I was about to say, I don’t see any 4WS action going on. Plus the DOHC VTEC sticker is pretty funny unless it’s got an H.

That is correct, but this conversation was about Si 4ws cars, which this car is not

That’s only in Si models. in ’90 and ’91 the B20A5 came in the 2.0Si models.

You are right. Lol I spaced I do not have 4ws. I paid $500 for it with a broken timing belt. For now Im just going replace bent valves, build a new b20a5, boost it, and drop it in. The body is in very nice shape with a couple of dings.

It could have been swapped or an S model, the 4WS model in 90-91 in the US was sold with the B21A1. So if you have a B20A5 and 4WS, then the enging has been swapped. The B20A5 is the better engine IMO. They have roughly the same HP, but the B21 likes to eat oil for breakfast

on engines, US preludes 88 and 89 had the B20A5 and 90 and 91 had B21A1

That isn’t 4ws. I have owned a ’91, and currently own a ’88 and ’89 w/ 4ws those back wheels would be turn out the opposite direction of the front wheels if it was 4ws.

    January 22, 2013 at 6:30 am

some of these preludes came with the b21a1

ba4 is only the chassis code, not all of them were 4ws. This one is 2ws because it does not have the 4ws badges all around the car, and you can tell the rear wheels are straight. Anyway, that car makes me jealous at how immaculate it is!

Ba4 does not equal 4ws. Ba4 is standard for, I believe, every north american prelude chassis.
