Along the west coast especially near San Francisco, there are lot of wild seals and sea lions bumming around the beaches. I ignored the “Enter at your own risk – cuz you might get attack by dangerous wild sea lions” sign and got within 6 feet of one of these magnificent creatures. I was behind my Nikon D300 getting very good shots when suddenly it barks and plunges into the water. Out of instinct, I ran for my life…hahahha.

Here is a short clip from the first Top Dawg at Dunn-Benson Dragstrip located in Benson, NC. The day was packed with racing and rain. Even though there was a short delay due to a shower the track was dried off very quickly by track officials. With Chris Rini’s first time at Dunn-Benson he was able to start off with a great first experience taking home the win at the first Top Dawg of the 2009 season. With an exciting final round between Chris and JD Goad, moments after the burnout and while staging lightening struck and the track went dark. Luckily it wasn’t long before the lights came back on and Chris and JD were able to finish the race. Unfortunately JD broke on the starting line leaving Chris to take the “W”. We would like to give an honorable mention to JD for his ET, running a 4.23 in the first round, a 4.22 in the second round, and a 4.21 in the third.

Directed by MVC’s own Jason Pires, this timely Hip-Hop music video was created weeks prior to the 2006 immigration demonstrations in Los Angeles. The video takes the viewer through an often times controversial journey through the issues involving illegal immigration. With the use of green screen keying and motion graphics, the viewer is visually taken through the letter described in the songs lyrics, as the artist literally dodges stereotypes and crosses symbolic borders. Since its release, the video has been aired nationally on music video channels and national television.

Another test of footage I shot around the Michigan Avenue area of Chicago, as well as the Chicago River. Still playing around with different settings and what not… having fun 🙂 Better quality version at :: vimeo.com I get a lot of emails about my settings. This was done with many settings that I did not log. The file was exported/uploaded at 1280×768 resolution, 30 fps. I am mac based. I import the MTS files in iMovie 08 and then use those files to edit with on either iMovie or Final Cut Pro. I can’t offer anymore information then that at this point.

The sleek design of the PowerShot A1000 IS is as refreshing as a breath of fresh air. Better still, its high-end features make everything simple: there’s the 10.0-megapixel resolution and powerful 4x Optical Zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilizer for sharpness along the full zoom range. A DIGIC III Image Processor with Canon Face Detection automatically lets every face stand out. Easy Mode and Easy Playback make this camera a marvel of simplicity. With a bright 2.5-inch LCD, it’s available in four two-toned colors.
