i bouth the d7000 and I guet the 18-105 paquet and i love that lense, it is not havy at all but the lense itself scraches really easely 🙁 but you can poot a filter. when y bouth taht camara i guet a filter and sadly tey gave me a wrong size.

but that combination of tat lense with tat camara mahe a really good conbination. I really recomend it.

Since it originally comes from the Japanese verb “bokeru,” it should actually be “bo-kay.”

Hey, do you know “Photo SFXart Tricks” (just do a Google search for it…)? There you can watch a great free video demonstrating how to make brilliant photographs. It helped Daniel to make photographs that leave you with that jaw-dropping-effect after you take a look at them. It may help you as well…

You’re paying for convenience basically. If you want slightly better overall image quality, then it’s better to get the 18-105 and 70-300 combo.

Go check Ken Rockwell’s review. It’s definitely sharper than the 18-200. It might be heavy, but that’s probably the only one lens you will carry around.

18-300 is quite a heavy lens not very good for street photography also the image quality is slightly less.

Thanks for the video, but could you please tell me why not an 18-300 instead of a combination of 18-105 and 70-300? any specific reason beside the little price difference? how about the alternative combination of 16-85 and 70-300?

your all wrong. The best lens Nikon makes for a newbie, for the money is the 18-70mm AF-S IF ED it is a terrific lens for less that $300. Now thats a tip you can depend on.
