8:45 The D7000 does have two sensors for ir remote control! In the video you had your thumb over it. It’s on the right side, beside the joystick direction pad (smaller than the one in the front of the camera).

Both these cameras are limited to about 20 mins per video clip. Currently no DSLR can shoot a clip longer than 29:59…unless you are using a DSLR that can output a signal to an external recorder.

Furthermore to my previous comment. Is there a maximum / minimum amount of time you can video for ie no longer than 10 mins? I am assuming both have countdown timers. Its it just the one or more and for how long. My compact camera has two timers, one at 2 secs and the other at 10 secs. Which I find really helpful.

Just the video I was looking for! Hoping to purchase a new camera next week and these are the very two I am currently looking at. What I would like to see is a comparison of photographs & videos of the two cameras ie one of each in macro, one of landscape etc.

Hello, have you heard about “photo SFX art” (google it)? On their website you can watch a useful free video demonstrating the best way to shoot fantastic photographs. It made it possible for Daniel to take photographs which leave you with a wow-effect when you take a look at them. Perhaps it will work for you as well.

Good question: I find it very useful when shooting things close to the ground (flowers, insects, children, etc.) A swiveling screen is also very helpful for video, most of the time I have to shoot all the video seen on my channel. When the camera is pointed at me I can’t see how things are framed and often have to use a mirror. If I were using a camera with a swiveling screen things would be much easier. It is something I can live without but it would be nice 🙂

While the Sony has full manual controls also it is easier to access the controls on the Nikon. The Sony also functions better in the auto mode; while I personally don’t know why anyone would want to use a DSLR as a “point and shoot” camera some do. If that is what you are after the Sony makes more sense.

can you explain how if you’re not looking to use manual modes the A65 is the better choice? Last time I checked the sony’s have full manual capability.

I image that there will be a D7000 replacement at some point, but I don’t have a good incantation of when that will be.

Reply Pt 2. There is a wealth of info on YouTube about Multi-Rotors & I’d recommend subscribing to this guys channel w w w.youtube.com/user/alishanmao His an RC Fanatic & you’ll find enough info on his channel to learn how to build, set up & fly an F450 Quad, he also sells them as kits or fully built and ready to fly (RTF).

You might like this guys channel as well, his a Photographer who has done pretty much what you have just asked. w w w.youtube.com/user/jacquesone100

    Hope that helps 🙂

Reply Pt 1. No problems. With the advent of stabilisation gear & systems to assist smooth control of Multi-Rotors nowadays, you can quickly pick up the required skills to fly a Quad which can lift a good camera in a gimbal with a few months of practice. Personally I’d recommend a DJI F450 Quad with a NAZA controller & GPS.unit as a learning rig that is tuff, easy to get parts for and work on and motors can be upgraded to carry more weight once you get the hang of flying it. (See Reply Pt 2)

In this range (APS-C mid level) the D7000 would be the best upgrade at this time.

Hi Jeremy. The D600 released already and it’s about 2000$. So it’s not within the range of D7000. Let me know what do you think since than.

That’s really good info, I am not an RC pilot but I have been thinking of doing something like this. How difficult are they to fly?

I certainly see no reason why someone with the funds would not convert their Dukes over to turbines. There is no substitute for power, and reliability. Yes folks envy makes those without make not so intelligent comments…sucks to be them… Enjoy your aircraft, be safe, and make sure that others get to enjoy it with you!!!

God, what an idiot you are. I know what I will do with my money from now on; I will contact you and see if it is okay to buy something i want and if YOU say its okay i will go ahead. Because god forbid any of us ever spend our own money on something we want. BTW, If i buy something like this I contribute to everybody. I buy fuel, maintenance, insurance, and the list goes on. By spending my money I provide JOBS. What do YOU provide?

Great airplane! With the performance you get with the P&W PT6’s you get reasonable fuel consumption (the airport that I am at the 100LL price is far higher then Jet A) and you also get the reliability that P&W is synonymous with.

    | Ok, fair enough. Now, how much of YOUR personal income goes towards “something useful” each month, or each year? And, would you mind defining what “something useful” means for the rest of us?

I’m sure you can find the same type of what you defined as “idiot” spending their money on vehicles that cost much less than a Bugatti Veyron. Being an idiot, just in case no one ever told you this before, has precious little to do with he size of one’s bank account.

It honestly seems like your just envious of people who can spend there money on ridiculous toys. Just because you buy these kinds of toys does not make you a idiot. I consider myself very intelligent and would consider a Beech B60 turbine for its prformancee and style. 4000 fpm 300 knts twin reliability and price! All good.

Agreed! Very nice climb performance. I saw as much as 2,750 fpm @ 140 kts IAS. He reached 4,000 ft altitude in no time at all – very nice.

I too, want to know about the Db levels in the cockpit and cabin area. I’ve been thinking about buying a Duke and having Rocket do the conversion and overhaul for me as well.

Can you provide any information on Cabin noise levels AFTER the PW PT6A installation on both sides?

Thanks for the awesome video! Make more!!!
