Hi there, are you familiar with “PhotoSFXart” (google it)? There you can watch a great free video demonstrating the way to shoot awesome pictures. It helped Joe to create pictures which leave you with that wow-effect when you look at them. It may help you also.

I ve heard that some copies of that lens are kinda soft even close to the mid of the lens, and since i am thinking of buying it used, i m thinking of it twice, just in case is one of the bad copies. What you think about it?

Would you recommend this or the tokina 11-16 2.8, i do alot of landscape in good light, but i want to get into astro which means long exposure….what do you think?

This might be a dumb question but if the “subject” you are trying to take a picture is farther than 16mm does it mean that it’s fully focus? Like you don’t have to focus it?

Which would you recommend for my canon 60d/7d, this sigma or the Tokina 11-16? The reason I’m leaning towards the Tokina is because its a 2.8 compared to the Sigma’s 4.5.. Thanks..

    – No, I don’t get paid to do the reviews. I buy gear based on my interest or need for my photography business. Sometimes I sell it if it doesn’t end up being something I use a lot, and sometimes I hang on to it.

Nice review as always. I also like how you dont waste your audiences time with fancy intros and all. On with the information directly, thats rare and appreciated! keep up your good work 😀

Nice review. That’s a very good lens for the price. Hope to see similar examination video of the Sigma 17-50 OS :). Well done Matt.

Are you actually paid to do this? Because that is a lot of money you have to have to buy all this camera stuff… 😛

    – Yeah… that was a mistake on my part. I had to re-edit the lightroom part as the screen capture software generates an AVI file that was huge. Forgot I hadn’t re-edited the intro.
