Get a basic body and focus more on lenses!
As for what camera to get – The new D3200 is a great body for the price! I use a D5100 which I love, a friend of mine has the D7000 which is an awesome body as well.
Canon T3i and 7D, and Sony NEX7 are great cameras. Canon 5D MKII(I) or Nikon D800 if your loaded!

The error message your talking about might be the one with some cheaper memory cards, “Video recording has stopped” it will happen from time to time, always go with SD cards class 10 or above for video.

It all depends on the lens you are using, the newer plastic lenses will sometimes click when you get to the end of the zoom range, and on my new 35mm 1.8g you can hear a scraping sound when manual focusing, my mic hasn’t picked it up yet, especially if you use an external mic or field recorder. Older metal lenses have really smooth zoom and focus and make less noise too! I love old lenses – but no auto anything, so it forces you to learn your stuff!

Do nikon cameras make a noise when you zoom in and out? I read some nikon digital slr cameras have a common error message. Please tell me which nikon model would be good.
