My Air Force JROTC senior aerospace science instructor (SASI) served in the times of the cold War, and I have Cambodian friends who came here as refugees, and one of them watched as a soldier of Pol Pot shot and killed her husband. Don’t tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about.
Politically I am Independent. I don’t like Conservatives just as much as I don’t like liberals. I don’t believe in trying to force the world into our own ways of society. It is wrong.

…wanted to stop the flow of it because we believed that democracy was the “only true” form of government. In the end it cost us more than 60,000 people in Viet Nam and a similar number in the Korean War. The Cold War almost got ‘hot’ at moments because neither of us wanted to sit down like considerate people, and discuss matters. Both wanted to blast each other off the face of the Earth, and some still want to, like North Korea and the Chinese gov.

I do not know the exact historical definition of Communism, no. But it is based on socialism, and socialistic governments always seem to collapse, which is why the United Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) is gone, and why Greece is having the same problem. The Communists believed that everyone else besides them was “wring”, and by their ignorance and hatred, they invaded places like China, North Korea, Viet Nam, and Cambodia. We, being stupid people back in the day, …

Good thing there were no Romans here! 🙂
I could start one, but there are too few people of my path who live close-by. There are a lot of us in my state but only a couple in my county and town. Still, I shall go to the festival celebrations in other places in my state.
But, the good news is that I may FINALLY get a job as a security guard, and I got my guard-card today, so I’m happy! 🙂

So start one. There are loads of Pagans in the U.S., and more than loads of people descended from Scots and Irish. Not to mention 1st-gen immigrants.
There were never Romans in the New World, but there are lots of Roman-legion reconstructionists here. Not as many as in britain of course, but lots anyway.

So true – I can’t stand how our government seems to think that we must spread democracy all over the globe to every civilization. What a stupid sense of superiority! Here we are in today’s world being as ignorant as the Communists were in the Cold War. We tried to stop the spread of it, and now we go around trying to change the world to democracy.
Yeesh.

Agreed. Only problem is, when someone sees the bonfire, they’ll probably call the local minister to “bless us heathens”. At least in the UK, Paganism is WAY more tolerated. If I ever go to the Scotland or Ireland, I’m never coming back.
Blessed be times Three! )O( )O()O(

It’s just sad that too many people have forgotten who we really are. There are always those so-called “truth-seekers”, but they BS to other people and dictate what THEY feel is moral. We have forgotten that the Earth is our Mother, and we must take care of her. We must stop killing each other and start coexisting.

Man, I wish the US did this – it costs too much to go to Europe, and with England in economic collapse, … it’s a bummer. I’m tempted to go back to my ancestors’ home in Scotland and Ireland and then stay there.
Just can’t stand the US right now. It’s even worse that I cannot find a job to pay for college. I won’t dare do a loan.
