Maryhill – a dream hill. Whether it’s the (now) bi-annual Maryhill Freerides with hundreds of your friends or the IGSA Maryhill Festival of Speed, it just seems to never get old. Rayne headed out to the IGSA 2011 Abec 11 Marhill FOS and caught up with some of our team and friends for an epic weekend of skating and racing. Watch for Mike Slota, Jake Fast, Cameron Frazier, Luke Melo, Spencer Smith, Michael Bowditch, Dominique Vokurep and Graham Buksa while they push for the podium. Graham takes 4th in the open, with Dom 3rd in Ladies. Introduction voiceover by Rayne rider Cam Frazier, videography/editing by Spencer Smith. Shot on a Nikon D7000. Song: Straight Heat by edIT.

No. This is an all grip downhill run. You can easily reach speeds of 40 mph and leathers are a good idea fr running in this event.

thanks for the tutorial. pls i want to know the effect of leaving your iso settings in the auto settings and controlling the apperture and speed. is it more advisable since it could curb the effect of you forgetting to change back the iso setting

@ Brownhornet you must have money to burn. I can’t understand how you would move up so quickly to a d7000 without having a full understanding of this entry level dslr, or some of the other basic camera setttings. I also have the d3200. If I may suggest to invest in better lenses 1st before the camera. This D3200 is awesome ans has many features of the professional cameras

I’m on my second DSLR first a Nikon D3200 and now D7000 and to this point i did not understand the importance of in view finder light metering system. Shooting in manual was a guessing game for me being to ADD to read through the manual. Thank you have just made photography more rewarding and fun!

Thank you so much – after watching your lesson 4.2 - I finally feel now that I have a better understanding of how the aperture shutter speed and ISO work together and how the light meter in the viewfinder comes into play. Just love watching you videos.

Hey, have you heard of “Photo SFXart Tricks” (just search on Google for it …)? On their website you will find a nice free video explaining the way to make outstanding pictures. This made it possible for Daniel to create pictures which leave you with that jaw-dropping-effect whenever you look at them. It might help you too…

Your camera has build in meter (you can see it through your viewfinder. You have to choose shatter speed which will bring it to the middle. Please watch my video about metering.
