From his pretty poor roots in London during the war his early years through to his service in the Suez Canal mirrors my father’s life.
Don McCullin, along with Larry Burrows and Henri Huet have been my photographic ‘heroes’ for more years than I care to remember.

This is really good.
Started off watching with disdain for his seemingly patrician attitude…then heard something very different. Something very different.
The value he places on the privilege of peeking at humanity from behind a camera is summed up in his final comment: watch to see.
