Apple released a number of software updates yesterday including iOS 9.2. In addition to a large number of bug fixes, the update adds iPhone support for the company’s Lightning to USB Camera Adapter, making it possible now to transfer images directly from a camera to your iPhone. A DPReview community member and forum moderator has created a free desktop application designed to help Nikon users wirelessly transfer files from their cameras to their computers. Compatible with OS X, Windows and Linux, Airnef is an open-source utility that works with Nikon’s external Wi-Fi adapters as well as cameras with built-in Wi-Fi. Read more

This is a good rainy day (or weekend) project for you to try at home. All you need is a print of your image (reversed, demonstrated in the video) on regular paper, a piece of wood, and a couple of other supplies (listed below the video).
This video by SLR Coaching takes you through all the steps to print out your photo and get it transferred and applied to a piece of wood. He’s using pixlr.com to rotate and change the image, you can use that or your preferred photo editing software. If you don’t have Photoshop or Lightroom some other good free options include PicMonkey and Canva.

Eyefi, the maker of Wi-Fi memory cards, has today launched Eyefi Mobi Pro, a new 32GB WiFi SD card. It improves the existing Eyefi Mobi model by adding wireless transfer of Raw image files, along with new photo categorization and search functions. Read more

While most Android and Windows Phone devices act like external drives when connected to a computer with a USB-cable, transferring photos and files to and from an iOS device is a little more tricky. This is where the iStick, a Kickstarter project comes in. iStick is a USB-drive with an integrated Apple Lightning connector, making it compatible with more recent iPhone, iPad and iPod generations.
