Accessories brand Fotodiox has introduced a cherry wood hand grip for the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 III that it says is ‘inspired’ by the Hasselblad Stellar special edition cameras first launched in 2013. At $ 59.95 it makes a somewhat more affordable solution, even when you add the price of the camera, than the $ 1650 Hasselblad wanted for last year’s Stellar II. Read more

Sony’s NEX and Alpha range of E and FE-mount cameras have a lot going for them, but some users have reported a ‘wiggle’ in the lensmount, especially when heavier lenses, or third-party optics via adapters are used. Fotodiox thinks it has the answer with its new ‘Tough E-Mount’ – literally a replacement lensmount for E and FE-mount cameras. With a single metal ring replacing the two (one metal, one plastic) originally attached to the camera, the Tough E-Mount should (according to the manufacturer) eliminate any movement between camera and lens. Fotodiox has announced the new DY-200 LED-based Fresnel Light for film work and studio photography. The lamps use very little power, are cool to the touch, and are flicker-free. They can be controlled via a built-in LED display, wireless remote, or with a DMX-compatible lighting control system. The DY-200 is available in daylight or ‘W’ tungsten versions, and is now available for $ 1199.95.

The WonderPana Filter systems are based around adapter hoods that allow 145mm circular filters or 6.6″ rectangular filters to be used, via an adapter. Each system comes with a lens cap that mounts on the hood, allowing the lens to be stored and protected without needing to repeatedly remove the adapter hood. A variety of adapter and filter kits are available for a range of Super-wide and Ultra-wide lenses.
