Time Lapse of Blizzard Hitting East Coast

26 Oct

Time lapse video of snow storm. Music used is by Yuri Simonov (The Nutcracker Suite: I Overture (original)) I used Nikon D300, took 1800 odd pictures at 6MP resolution using a timer,? then resized it to 1080p using Irfan view. Finally converted to video @ 10 fps using VirtualDub. Added audio using Windows Movie Maker and reencoded at 720p, as the 1080p video was a bit too large.

NYCTA / MaBSTOA Bus: Bx15 / M60 / X80 (D60 , Orion 7, LFSA) in East Harlem

07 Oct

EAST HARLEM / East 125th & 126th Street | 2nd & LEX Subscribe / Rate Video too =)! NYCTA 126th Street Bus X80 Express | Lexingon Avenue to Randall Island, Manhattan M60 | West Side, Manhattan to LaGuardia Airport, Queens BX15 | Fordham Plaza, Bronx to Manhattanville. Manhattan Notes: -The X80 is a special version of the M35, only used during during game days in the Island. (Track and field, etc) It is used due to high amounts of passengers. Instead of having the M35 do all of this (Which also carries tons of people going to Wards Island), the X80 is used. You pay, the same fare of an Express Bus (5.50) and from what I heard you get a free ride out of the Island. -M60 has been on artics for over a month now. LGA can take it. -Clip was taken from 2nd Avenue (X80 to Lexington Ave /125) & M60 at Lexington Ave (With also an Orion 7 NG) Bus Numbers: 1247 1288 3891 5638 Fleets here: Orion 7 NG (M60) , NovaBus LFSA (X80/M60) , New Flyer D60HF (BX15) ENJOY =)! Originally made in 2005 before HISHE was even an official company, this short was the 2nd cartoon HISHE ever created. It was intended to develop my animation technique (eyebrows, hand gestures, etc) things that I had never attempted before. So I picked my most favorite film at the time “Saving Private Ryan”, and began writing a spoof that transformed into a bit teasing Tom Hanks’ massive career success. This is a short intended to be just that. It is not about war vets. It is not about who’s country is better. It is about Tom Hanks’ career as it stood in 2005. *Comments have been disabled because the majority of comments have turned into people looking to fight about things that have nothing to do with this short, so… we’re closing the gate. Normally we embrace all opinions, but this one has just gotten out of control. 🙂 But Thanks for the continued support! Sorry this one turned out so controversial. It was never meant to be be viewed as such. And Saving Private Ryan is still one of my favorite films of all time.

Higher Ground: A Century of the Visual Arts in East Tennessee

05 Dec

A few nice visual art images I found:

Higher Ground: A Century of the Visual Arts in East Tennessee
visual art
Image by Knoxville Museum of Art
Higher Ground: A Century of the Visual Arts in East Tennessee, is a new permanent installation of works from the Knoxville Museum of Art collection celebrating the art and artists of Knoxville and the surrounding region.

The fascinating and complex story of our area’s rich artistic heritage and its connections to the larger currents of American art are largely unknown, and certainly underappreciated. Highlights of the new installation include important works by Catherine Wiley and Lloyd Branson, pioneering artists who introduced Knoxville audiences to Art Nouveau, Impressionism, and other international art movements of their day; Joseph and Beauford Delaney, two of America’s most significant African-American artists; and works from the 1950s and 1960s by the Knoxville Seven, a group of progressive artists connected to the University of Tennessee who transformed and energized the area’s artistic climate. Art from more recent decades includes mixed-media objects by visionary sculptor Bessie Harvey along with a selection of works by leading area artists whose creations represent the quality and diversity of art-making in the region today.
