The American Air Museum, which is part of Britain’s Imperial War Museum, has launched a new wiki-style website designed to allow members of the public to help identify the service men and women depicted in the site’s online galleries. Based on 15,000 prints from The Roger Freeman Collection documenting the lives of the US Army Air Forces personnel who served in England during the Second World War, the site records the thoughts and memories of the local population who worked and lived alongside them.
