The Boeing 747 ‘Jumbo Jet’ changed the world, bringing air travel to the masses, and allowing non-stop flights between distant cities across the globe. The prototype 747 – registration RA001 – first flew in February 1969, and is currently undergoing restoration at Seattle’s Boeing Field.
