Project started: (February 2012 – August 2012, from scratch) WARNING! This video was created before the Evolution of Combat! The long wait is over! I now present you my latest High-Level Boss solo remake series inspired by SoSolid2kk’s High-Level Boss solo videos, in respect of the Combat system that will be replaced by the Evolution of Combat update (EoC), for those who wish to see the nostalgia. This version features all available bosses fightable excluding quest bosses not listed in the Dominion Tower (see part 2, won’t be released as it is way too late to finish it off). The way the bosses are soloed in this series includes several unique finishing moves and epic ‘Damage per second’ (DPS), timing attack coordinations and underrated weapons that not many High-Level players normally use in boss trips. Many bosses featured in Part 1 are the King Black Dragon (KBD), Giant Mole, Chaos Elemental, the Dagannoth Kings, Kalphite Queen, Cliff (from the monthly D&D minigame “Troll Invasion”), Phoenix (Daily D&D Boss), Wild Jade Vine, Bork (another Daily D&D Boss), Skeletal Horror (weekly D&D Boss), the four God Wars Dungeon (GWD) Bosses: Kree’arra (Armadyl), Commander Zilyana (Saradomin), General Graardor (Bandos) & K’ril Tsutsaroth (Zamorak), and bosses from both Fight Caves and Fight Kiln minigames, TzTok-Jad and Har-Aken. On Assignment: Cheap Portable Studio, Pt. 2

Picking up where we left off last week in our impromptu living room studio, let's swap the lighting around to make a different style of photo which is designed to fulfill a different purpose.

The first photo was more in-house—think PR. It's the kind of photo you would get if the subject were more in control of both the process and the edit. The photo above is more of a third-person perspective, skewed toward objectivity and with a goal of being more interesting.

So let's keep our same white-papered alcove and swap up the lighting a bit. Read more »

Atton Conrad sets the models in pitch-black rooms, then writes with lights around them, resulting in a flowing and ephemeral slow-captured creation that is only visible after each shot is finished.

Conrad has worked extensively in both of the fields found intersecting here, as a veteran photographer and light artist alike. “London born, Belfast bred and originally set for a career in science, the inherited genes from an artist father & actress mother prevailed. He made for the bright lights of his birth city to persue his love of photography.” He was, as it were, drawn to the light – limelight, spotlight, and lighting itself.

Of his work, he says that “it started with light trails, but grew far beyond that, as i developed my methodology and custom designed ‘light brushes’ I realised that the techniques could give me incredibly fine control over light and texture, to an unique almost hyperreal result. I have always been known for my classic lighting, and still take great pleasure in it, but this took it a completely fresh direction.”
