I can really see the spherochromatism in the low light test. Its noticeable but not terrible.

fraid not, its wide than the 50mm but i wouldnt call this wide angle. look at the 28/24/20/15mm if you want a wide angle!

  24. Andrew Yancey

    February 4, 2013 at 5:56 pm

    Is that a wide angle?

prime lenses don’t have image stabilization. but you can make up for that by increasing the shutter speed.

Great video! Is there some type of software I can use to get a live video feed from a Nikon camera? I noticed you were using EOS utility, but is there a Nikon equivalent?

How do I get Ustream to recognise my 60D rather than the inbuilt webcam on my laptop?

In the video, I used a mini USB to USB. I have a 60D now which is quite similar to the T3i, and I believe it still uses a mini USB to USB. That cable should come with the camera.

Awesome, thanks for the video. My question is what connections are you using to get your DSLR into your Mac? My church is wanting to help me out with my Canon T3i purchase, but is asking if we can use it to live stream. We’re planning on getting a Mac Pro for this purpose.
So, how are you connecting to your Mac? I know the T3i has HDMI out and comes with some mini USB-Component cables….

Not in Ustream, but you might be able to with other programs like Wirecast.
