I decided to test the Movie Crop Mode (640×480) on my T2i (550d). The lens that I used was my Canon EF-S 55-250mm at 250mm/F5.6 with a shutter speed of 800 and ISO at 200. Considering it is VGA quality (640×480), the quality is quite acceptable. I know it’s not HD, but I am thoroughly impressed.
See my lunar eclipse photos at: www.flickr.com Scopetronix is no longer in business, so maybe try www.telescopeadapters.com. I don’t know them, but they seem to sell the same kinds of adapters for about the same price.
This video produced for us by the excellent Gavin Hoey shows how to use a 3 light setup in a coventional 3 point lighting setup he also shows how to light a white background. Although this is for video lighting this would still apply to still photography and these lights are strong enough for portrait photography. Enjoy Got to product www.smick.co.uk

Info on ‘Filming the Moon’ (of the 3rd July 2009 using an 8 inch SCT and a Nikon D90 digital camera)……. For some reason, this video seems to get watched a lot. Please note that this was purely a test of shooting video using the video mode of the camera. I consider this test to have been a complete failure as the quality was poor and I have never shot straight video through the telescope since making this video. I rarely use a telescope for astrophotography either. See this video, shot using still images with just the camera and no telescope: www.youtube.com

Kouhei ranks among the best in paranormal photography, but he’s never actually seen a ghost! While on assignment in Germany for Occult Magazine, he fails to capture a hauntingly beautiful young girl on camera and knows there must be an explanation. Driven by curiosity, his spiritual insensitivity proves a curse indeed as the young photographer crosses barriers best left alone, stumbling into a medieval castle and a world he cannot comprehend. Some riddles can prove dangerous indeed!
