CP+ 2013 – lenses from Nikon and Sigma

01 Feb

P1290070.JPG

CP+ 2013: Nikon has several examples of its 18-35mm F3.5-4.5G ED consumer-level wide-angle full-frame zoom on show, while Sigma has re-designed and re-worked several of its most interesting lenses, which are being shown in prototype form at its stand. This includes a new version of its 30mm F1.4 for APS-C DSLRs. And, while none are available to shot with yet, we got a chance to handle them, along with the portrait-friendly Sigma DP3 Merrill.

RuneScape – Song from the Depths [HD][2/2]

27 Jan

This is a playthrough of the new quest released in May 22, 2012, Song from the Depths. This was filmed the first day it was released and I didn’t use any walkthroughs while filming all this. The quest is fully voiced and the music is actually eerie is suspenseful, so it’s an interesting quest. Keep in mind that you may use this as a walkthrough if you were to do this quest yourself, but this video will not be specific about certain areas as this quest was done without the use of walkthroughs. The rewards are as follows: 1 Quest point 700 xp on Constitution Coral crossbow 50 Coral bolts Remora’s necklace Reduced incoming damage when fighitng the Queen Black Dragon Access to the Grotworm Lair & 2 spins on the Squeal of Fortune Bonus rewards (not included in these footages due to time constraints) When you return to the cave where the quest took place, by following the dialogs, it will lead you to a room with two ancient writings on two walls, separated by an acid pool. You can investigate them to earn Constitution XP, 5k closest to the exit, and 25k located on the other side of the acid pool (both requiring Level 80 Constitution). When you cross the acid pool, you will take constant 9 damage each time while you’re swimming through the acid pool. RuneScape is a trademark to Jagex Ltd. No Wi-Fi Zones: Taking a Break from Constant Connection

22 Jan

[ By Steph in Design & Guerilla Ads & Marketing. ]

No WiFi Zone 1

Free wifi is becoming so ubiquitous in many cities, it’s hard to find a street corner where you can’t instantly connect – and most of us like it that way. Unrestricted access to virtually all of the knowledge and information in the world is nothing to sneeze at, but with it comes people who are glued to their devices instead of talking to each other. Kit Kat has a new marketing campaign that actually blocks all wireless signals within a radius of 5 meters.

No WiFi Zone 2

The Free No WiFi Zone is a simple installation in downtown Amsterdam that creates a refuge from the internet. Reflecting the candy bar’s slogan “Have a break, have a Kit Kat,” the campaign emphasizes taking a breather from email, social media updates and other trappings of our connected culture.

No WiFi Zone 3

“The world is becoming one big WiFi zone,” reads the ad, created by advertising agency JWT Amsterdam. “It’s available in bars, restaurants, trains, airports, supermarkets… There’s even WiFi on Mount Everest. Result? People are constantly online. Time for a break.”

Music: — Angel Beats! – desperation Metal Slug 4 – Secret Place To Aru Majutsu no Index II – Shorthand Original Shakugan no Shana III – Champ de bataille Shinryaku! Ika Musume – Gekitotsu! Ika Musume Part 4 of the High Level Boss Solo series (non-EoC 2012 edition) featuring Nomad from Nomad’s Requiem in the Dominion Tower. Instead of fighting Nomad once, why not fight him twice without banking? or better yet, using all three combat styles! 😀 It is unorthodox but it is a creative way to go all out on your combat stats. Notes about the video: Nomad has a damage cap to how much he can take, which is 750, meaning you cannot hit more than 750 with any attack style, including AGS spec. Hands-on with smartphones from Sony, ZTE and Huawei at CES 2013

11 Jan

ZTE.jpg

CES provided a chance for us to get our hands on to of the latest smartphones. Interestingly, Sony’s Xperia Z, ZTE’s Grand S and the Huawei Ascend D2 are all built around 5″, 1920 x 1080 pixel screens and feature 13MP cameras. All run Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and yet, despite the spec similarities, there are still differences – in the user experience as well as the processors used. We had the opportunity to use both phones, to see how they behave – find out what we thought.
