Canon’s Newest Camera Will Be Funded by…Indiegogo?

Just this week, Canon began promoting its newest product, the IVY REC: a tiny camera that clips onto a keychain, a necklace, and basically anything else you can think of.

The IVY REC is billed as “shockproof” and “waterproof,” which makes it a convenient piece of kit for adventure-type shooting. It features a 13-megapixel camera that shoots both stills and video up to 60 frames-per-second at 1080p. And it includes wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, so you can easily transfer your media from camera to computer.

It’s an unusual piece of kit for a company like Canon, which specializes in higher-end imaging equipment, rather than this type of “go anywhere” camera.

But the most unusual aspect of this new camera is the funding method:

The IVY REC is set to launch on Indiegogo.

Indiegogo is one of the most popular crowdfunding sites out there, and it generally aims to give start-ups a chance to make big products without spending lots of cash upfront.

On a website with “indie” in its name, a giant such as Canon seems rather out of place.

Which begs the question:

What is the point of this new method of funding? Canon undoubtedly has the money to push the IVY REC through to production.

One possibility is that Canon is testing the waters with this camera, and wishes to do so while spending as little money as possible. If Canon doesn’t know how the IVY REC will be received, perhaps it’s being crowdfunded in a referendum of sorts: If the camera gets funded, then it’s a good idea, one worth pursuing. And if the camera fails in its funding, then it shouldn’t have been produced in the first place.

Of course, this strategy goes beyond marketing research. If the IVY REC is successfully funded, Canon ends up with a bonus: a nice pot of cash with which to build and promote the product.

Another possibility is a bit more unsettling: Canon is using Indiegogo for free publicity, in an attempt to promote a camera that Canon would have otherwise been willing to spend its own dollars on.

Either way, I’m not entirely comfortable with this move by Canon. Sites like Indiegogo help solo entrepreneurs and small startups turn their dreams into reality. Canon’s presence on the site will likely take money away from those who genuinely need the cash.

Canon’s new PIXMA G5020, G6020 MegaTank printers are faster, now available to pre-order

Canon has unveiled two new printer models in the PIXMA G-series MegaTank product line: the PIXMA G5020 MegaTank Single-Function Printer and the PIXMA G6020 All-In-One Printer. Both models feature the line’s continuous ink supply system, as well as support for automatic two-sided printing, faster printing speeds, and more.

Both the PIXMA G6020 and G5020 printers feature a combined 350-page front and rear paper tray capacity, as well as support for faster printing at 13 black and white impressions and 6.8 color impressions per minute. A single black ink bottle can produce up to 6,000 pages, and the color inks can produce up to a combined 7,000 pages. Both printer models likewise feature WiFi.

The new PIXMA printers can be used with the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app for accessing PIXMA Cloud Link and select popular platforms, including Photobucket, Flickr, and Google Drive. Only the PIXMA G6020 model supports Google Cloud Print and Apple AirPrint, however.

Canon starting selling both models on June 6 both models are currently available to pre-order; the PIXMA G5020 retails for $ 249.99 USD (B&H) and the G6020 for $ 299.99 USD (B&H).

What you need to know about Canon’s EOS Rebel SL3 (250D)

Introduction

The Canon EOS SL2 (also known as the 200D and Kiss X9) is one of the company’s most best-selling DSLRs. And it’s not surprising, as the SL2 was a low-priced, competent camera that you could slip into a purse or small bag.

The new SL3 (250D, Kiss X10) isn’t a dramatic departure from the SL2: it’s still small. inexpensive and mostly up-to-date in terms of features. It borrows many features from Canon’s EOS M50 mirrorless camera, including the DIGIC 8 processor and rather disappointing 4K video capabilities. But more on that later.

The Rebel SL3 will be available at the end of April for $ 599 body-only or $ 749 bundled with the EF-S 18-55mm F4-5.6mm IS STM lens. We’re featuring the white version in this article, because we think it looks snazzy.

Just a bit lighter

The SL3 is the same size and nearly the same weight as the SL2 (above right). Canon managed to shave 4 grams off of the weight (though only 2g off of the black one), so you won’t have to buy a new camera bag.

As you can see, changes to the design are very subtle. There’s a bit of an indent under the Canon logo on the SL3, and the often-irritating redeye reduction lamp (which also serves as a visual countdown for the self-timer) has been removed. Unlike its predecessor, the SL3 can’t use its flash as an AF-assist lamp, though it can use the infrared target if you buy an external flash.

The SL3 uses the same 24MP APS-C CMOS sensor and elderly 9-point autofocus system as the SL2 (when shooting through the viewfinder). In live view, the SL3 also has Dual Pixel AF, covering 88% of the frame horizontally and 100% vertically. The SL3 is Canon’s first DSLR to feature Eye AF in live view, as well.

Up top

There are a couple of cosmetic and feature differences between the SL3 and its predecessor on its top plate. The main differences are the removal of the Wi-Fi button and a reduction in the number of items on the mode dial.

Like the EOS M50, the SL3 has a Scene Intelligent Auto mode that will pick a scene mode for you, and provide easy-to-understand visual guides to adjusting things like aperture (‘background blur’), exposure compensation (‘brightness’) and white balance (‘color tone’). A feature guide offers brief description of each and every menu item when it’s selected.

Rear view

No need to show the SL3 and SL2 side-by-side here, as they look exactly the same.

The SL3 has a fully articulating touchscreen display with 1.04 million dots and a well-designed UI. The optical viewfinder is, as you’d expect, quite small, with an unremarkable magnification of 0.54x (in 35mm terms). You can see about 95% of the scene when looking through it, which isn’t ideal for precise composition.

For those wondering, that’s not a dial around the Q/Set button – it’s just a 4-way directional pad. The SL3 has one control dial and it’s on the top.

Selfies, of course

Sure, the SL3’s fully articulating LCD is great for video and waist-level/overhead shooting, but let’s face it: on the SL3, it’s mostly for selfies. If you need further evidence, look no further than the new ‘Smooth Skin’ setting, which gives you five levels of skin smoothness to choose from.

On the port side…

First, isn’t that silver kit lens a nice match for the white SL3? It’s worth pointing out that this is the F4-5.6 version of the 18-55mm lens, not the F3.5-5.6, so you’re losing about 1/3-stop of light compared to Canon’s older, larger kit zoom.

Under the gray plastic cover are sockets for a 3.5mm external mic – a nice touch on a cheaper camera – and the RC-6 wired remote. The SL3 is also compatible with the BR-E1 wireless Bluetooth remote.

And on your right…

On the opposite side of the SL3 are the other two ports, for HDMI and USB 2.0. As far as we know, the camera cannot be charged over USB, but we’ll double-check that as soon as we can.

The gray patch at the bottom is a rubber cover. It conceals a channel through which you feed the cable for the optional DR-E18 DC coupler which, when attached to the required AC adapter, will set you back $ 150. (Much cheaper third-party options exist if you want to operate the camera using wall power.)

Speaking of batteries, Canon pulled off some tricks to increase the CIPA-rated battery life from 650 shots on the SL2 to 1070 on the SL3. Live view battery life is in the middling 300 shot-per-charge range.

4K, with a catch

The good news is that the EOS Rebel SL3 can capture 4K video at 23.98p (or 25p in PAL regions) with a maximum bit rate of 120Mbps.

The bad news is that, like the EOS M50 with which it shares so much, the SL3 has an enormous 2.64x crop, relative to full frame, so the wide end of your 18-55mm is equivalent to 47mm in full-frame terms. So much for wide-angle shooting! In addition, Dual Pixel AF is not available in movie mode, leaving you with regular contrast detection.

Both of these limitations are a shame, given that the small body and fully articulating LCD on the SL3 should make a nice camera for vlogging.

Irix confirms its lenses are ‘fully compatible’ with Canon’s EOS R camera

Swiss lens manufacturer Irix has announced its lens lineup is completely compatible with Canon EOS R cameras when attached using Canon’s EF to EOS R adapter.

In an announcement post on its website, Irix says ‘it is possible to control the aperture from the camera’ and notes that all metadata is transferred properly from the lens to the camera including focusing distance and other exposure details.

Irix specifically mentions its 11mm F4, 15mm F2.4 and 150mm F2.8 1:1 Macro lenses.

Lensrentals tears down Canon’s 50mm F1.2 RF lens to reveal new optics, tech and surprises

For the latest edition of LensRentals gets down and dirty with camera equipment, Lensrentals founder Roger Cicala tore down Canon’s new 50mm F1.2L RF lens to reveal what tech and construction is lurking inside.

‘Usually, I start tear down posts with a joke about “those of you who are following along by disassembling your own lens at home”,’ reads one of the introductory paragraphs of Cicala’s teardown blog post. ‘Well, no joke today; this is not a home disassembly project. I’m not really sure it’s even a Lensrentals disassembly project. But we got out tools out and boldly went where we probably shouldn’t have gone.’

Right off the bat, Cicala came across something he had never seen in a lens before — a unique screw arrangement on the front part of the lens barrel. Figuring the unique arrangement ‘was some kind of binary code for “Do Not Enter”,’ Cicala instead flipped the lens over and started to disassemble it from the rear.

With each new layer peeled back, new surprises awaited Cicala. There was wiring, rather than simple ribbon cables (which Canon has almost always preferred), a denser PCB, and a little extra electrical shielding.

The teardown also confirmed Canon is using the same USM motor for the 50mm F1.2L RF as it is for its much, much larger 400mm F2.8L IS III lens, which Cicala teases as Lensrentals’ next teardown. Near the USM motor, Cicala noticed an interesting tensioning spring, but it remains unknown what purpose it serves.

Eventually, Cicala turned the lens back over and removed the front lens barrel. After a little work, what he ended up with was the stripped down optical core of Canon’s 50mm F1.2L RF lens. ‘Like a shaved cat, it’s always kind of shocking how small the core of the thing is,’ says Cicala.

Other details revealed in the teardown include a piece of electrical discharge tape that seemingly leads to nowhere, additional sealing felt and a collection of springs that serve an unknown purpose.

All in all, Cicala was impressed with the lens, going so far as to say that this lens, and this lens alone, makes him lust for Canon’s EOS R system. Cicala concludes his assessment saying ‘One thing that is very clear […] Canon has invested very heavily into developing the lenses of the R system. This level of engineering didn’t all happen in the last year, they’ve been working on this for quite a while.’

Greater freedom: Canon’s engineers talk about the EOS R project

The launch of Canon’s EOS R gave us a chance to talk to a group of the engineers involved in the project. The company put forward an engineer from each of the main parts of the development process: physical design, optical design, UI design and overall product design. They talked of being given more freedom than ever before but also of the need to build on the EOS system’s strengths.

A new, short and wide mount

Canon has been consistent across its launch, when it’s said that the important announcement isn’t the EOS R, specifically, or the fact that there’s no mirror, but in what the RF mount allows them to do.

Manabu Kato sums up the freedom they’ve gained in terms of optical design: “people who’ve been working on lenses for a really long time have, with this new system, been able to make lenses like the 28-70mm F2 comparably easily, compared to how they had so many challenges in the past.”

As well as allowing more ambitious optical designs, the RF mount also adds data bandwidth, moving from eight communication channels to twelve. “During shooting there’s a massive amount of data going between the lens and the camera, so making sure that was smooth was another challenge,” says Kato. “By having that huge amount of data being transferred between the camera and lens, you can improve the general performance in relation to autofocus, metering and image stabilization. And you can also add features such as the control rings on the lenses.”

“You can also use DLO without any problems,” he said. Digital Lens Optimizer – Canon’s name for digital lens corrections – previously required that the camera look up the data in a database, meaning that camera firmware needed to be updated to accommodate new lenses. It’s now supplied in real time by the lens itself, so there’s no need for a look-up step.

Video, as well as stills

This real-time data flow allows the use of Digital Lens Optimizer and distortion correction in video for the first time. And it’s clear that, despite the EOS R’s comparatively modest specs in that area, Canon has done a lot of thinking about the needs of video shooters.

“Getting rid of [the mode dial] was a big decision that required a lot of consideration”

“In relation to the optical system, we gave consideration to focus breathing*, and also aperture control: you can change the aperture in 1/8th stops,” says Kato. “also the Nano USM, it’s very quiet and quick: the first time in an L lens.”

Difficult decisions

Trying to accommodate the needs of video shooters ended up leading the removal of the camera’s mode dial, says Koji Yoshida: “if you have a mode dial then the [exposure] settings will be the same for both stills and movies.”

The decision not to offer a mode dial on the EOS R was not taken lightly.

“We consulted with a lot of different people and talked about this a lot, and decided to have different settings this time,” he says. But it’s clear this isn’t a decision made lightly: “[The mode dial] is a function that’s been common in the past, so getting rid of that was a big decision that required a lot of consideration,” said Shintaro Oshima. “There was a lot of internal discussion about this point,” concurs Yoshida.

The challenge of legacy

This tension between novelty and legacy is a constant theme of our conversation. “Our aim was to carry on the traditional parts of EOS but then bring in new innovation at the same time,” says Hironori Oishi: “our biggest challenge was making this look like an EOS camera with just a single glance, you can see that it’s an EOS camera, based on the traditional styling of the EOS cameras. And also the feeling, when you hold the camera – as soon as you hold it in your hand, you know it’s an EOS.”

The M-Fn button is one of the most obvious ways in which the EOS R introduces new thinking to the EOS experience. It’s fair to say we’re not convinced by the way it currently works.

This extended to the user interface, says Yoshida: “the challenge we faced in terms of the software or the interface was making sure that it’s got the same basic controls as an EOS: to carry on that operability that EOS users are used to, then also implementing new elements into that design at the same time.”

The answer was to blend features from Canon’s existing live view and DSLR experience:, he says: “We used the mirrorless AF modes but we also also included features from the 5D Mark IV AF, like Expand AF area and large zone AF: this is the first time this has been introduced in a live view camera from Canon.”

Opportunity for innovation

The solution to these tensions seems to have been to look for opportunities to innovate while maintaining continuity: something made clear in the challenges of maintaining EF lens compatibility. Despite the EF mount already being fully electronic, Kato says: “it was difficult ensuring that compatibility. But we think that’s a big plus for the system.”

Whatever we might think of the rest of the EOS R experience, we love the idea of adding a control dial or filter mount in the EF-to-RF adapters.

Tellingly, the team looked for ways to add new features. “We also achieved the control ring adapter which brings additional value to EOS lens users,” says Kato: “The same applies to the drop-in filter adapter: it gives added value to those who already have EF lenses. We wanted to make sure that we looked after our current users of our EF lens system.”

Oshima stresses that the need for continuity didn’t hold the new camera back, though: “another focus was the low light limit performance. That’s a point of evolution from the EOS cameras.”

This eye for an opportunity to innovate is perhaps most clearly seen in the way the EOS R, unlike any other mirrorless camera, closes its mechanical shutter when shut down. “we wanted to protect the sensor as much as possible from dust and light hitting the sensor,” explains Oshima: “The light coming through the lens affects the sensor in the long term. The color filter array and microlenses and also the photodiodes can all be damaged by light [if the sensor is always exposed].”

Another bright idea: Canon’s engineers worked out that if you stop-down the lens aperture blades, it reduces the risk of damaging the shutter blades, at which point you can close them to keep light and dust off the sensor.

To then protect the shutter blades, the camera stops its lens down and displays a warning not to leave it facing towards the sun, without a lens cap. “The aperture cannot be closed completely, so that message is kind of a safeguard,” explains Kato: “We’re kind of proud of the fact that with a simple idea, we’ve been able to increase value for customers.”

Just the beginning

As usual, no one was able to discuss future products. When asked whether there was any chance of an APS-C RF-mount camera, Oishi was suitably non-committal: “we’re thinking about it, but we can’t answer in detail,” he says. But the individual engineers did all discuss what they were looking forward to.

“We want to surprise and astonish you, so please expect big things”

“It gives more structural freedom in terms of design, because it doesn’t have a pentamirror”, says Oishi. “I’m excited about improvements in Digic image processor and functions that create more value and make easier to use,” says Yoshida. But it’s optics specialist Kato who seems most enthused: “This is just the start of the system,” he says, talking about F2.8 zooms and other possibilities, before settling on a broader-reaching point: “We want to surprise and astonish you, so please expect big things.”

Nearly ten years ago I wrote a blog post suggesting camera makers should go back and take a ‘blank sheet of paper’ approach to the way their cameras operate. Simply suggesting it is the easy bit. Actually doing it, and having to find clever solutions is quite a different matter.

Throughout our conversation, it was obvious that Canon had given its engineers more freedom than usual in this project but that there’s still a careful balancing act to avoid confusing or alienating your existing users. The nods of recognition around the table as Mr. Oshima spoke about the difficulty of decision to eliminate the mode dial said a lot about how seriously these decisions were taken.

It’s difficult to talk to people who’ve worked so hard to make a great camera and then have to publicly report that it doesn’t work as well as they’d intended. But that’s the reality of our experiences with the EOS R so far, across the DPReview team.

If nothing else, though, the team’s responses show how seriously Canon is taking the RF system as a chance to improve and innovate.I really hope we’ll see that reflected in updates to the EOS R and future products in the system.

Canon EOS R teardown: Roger Cicala takes a look inside Canon’s first full-frame mirrorless

It’s been less than two weeks since the Canon EOS R started shipping and already Roger Cicala, founder of Lens Rentals, has taken one apart in incredible detail to see what’s inside.

Per his usual routine for gear teardowns, Cicala makes notes of various features and components found inside the camera along the way.

The EOS R teardown started with the removal of the adhesive grip tape from around the body of the camera to better see where all of the screws are. From there, the Cicala stripped the EOS R of its various elements piece by piece from the outside in.

While Cicala called it ‘a rather a boring disassembly,” the resulting photos and look inside the camera are anything but. Canon appears to have done a solid job across the board considering the price point and feature set of the camera, but there’s certainly room for improvements.

The buttons on the camera are thoroughly protected with weather-sealing gaskets, but the body itself is only water-resistant by tightly overlapping two pieces of the seams of the polycarbonate frame. In Cicala’s own words, “that means, I think, that it will be fine in a misty rain for a while, but don’t get it saturated and don’t set it somewhere wet.”

Cicala also notes that “it’s not very crowded inside [the EOS R],” meaning there’s plenty of room to pack in more features and tech inside if Canon decides to do so. He specifically mentions that much of the extra space he noticed between the circuit board and image sensor is where the in-body stabilization (IBIS) is seen inside the Sony A7R III he took apart. But don’t hold your breath for seeing IBIS in future EOS R cameras. Cicala adds “Canon has been very clear that they think lens stabilization is superior.”

Overall, Cicala says the EOS R appears to follow most of the design and engineering elements of past Canon DSLR cameras. “It was rather a boring disassembly, really, about what we should expect for Canon doing a Canon 6D Mark II quality mirrorless camera […] It’s neatly laid out and nicely engineered inside.”

Four RF-mount lenses kick off Canon’s new full-frame mirrorless system

Canon’s first full-frame mount in more than 30 years is here, in the shape of the RF-mount. Featuring the same diameter as the venerable EF-mount but with a much shorter flange back distance, RF is designed from the ground up for mirrorless cameras. It’s still early days, but four lenses have been unveiled alongside the consumer-grade EOS R, providing a tantalizing glimpse into Canon’s future ambitions.

Today sees the unveiling of the Canon RF 28-70mm F2L USM, RF 50mm F1.2L USM (pictured below), RF 24-105mm F4L IS USM and RF 35mm F1.8 Macro IS STM. This quartet covers common focal lengths from 24mm to 105mm and includes an exceptionally fast aperture zoom lens, a macro and – in a throwback to the early days of the EF system in the late 1980s – a flagship fast 50mm (shown below on the EOS R).

Perhaps the most interesting of the four new lenses is the 28-70mm F2, which weighs in at a very substantial 1430g (3.15lbs) – a 77% weight increase compared to the wider but slower EF 24-70mm F2.8 II. Boasting 19 elements in 13 groups, the 28-70mm F2 is a large lens, with a determinedly non-standard front filter diameter of 95mm. The RF 24-105mm F4 appears somewhat more conventional, weighing in at a much more manageable 700g (1.5lb) and featuring a standard filter thread of 77mm. It’s no surprise that this is the lens that Canon is kitting with the EOS R at launch.

The RF 24-105 F4L IS USM has been designed to be video-friendly, with minimal focus breathing, a fast, silent ‘Nano USM’ focus motor and the ability to control its aperture in 1/8th EV steps.

The RF 50mm F1.2 looks to be a pretty substantial chunk of glass, featuring 15 elements in nine groups, and weighing 950g (2.1lb). Meanwhile the lightweight (305g, 0.7lb) RF 35mm F1.8 Macro covers both a useful focal length, and offers a handy 0.5X magnification macro capability. Considering its comparatively smaller size and lighter weight, the RF 35mm F1.8 looks like it could be a very attractive walk-around prime for the small and light EOS R.

In addition to the four new lenses, Canon has also introduced three EF to RF adapters. The most basic is a simple mount converter, with an additional two adapters which add a customizable control ring (to match the clicking, customizable control rings on native RF lenses), and a tray for drop-in filters, respectively. The drop-in filter adapter makes it possible to add a Vari ND or circular polarizer to all lenses, including the traditionally awkward super-wides.

Canon promises that the EF-RF adapters will allow the millions of existing EF lenses in circulation to be used “without compromise” on the new EOS R and future RF-mount cameras.

The RF 28-70mm F2L USM will cost $ 2,999 and will be available in December. The RF 24-105mm F4L IS USM will also be available in December for $ 1099 ($ 3399 as a kit with the EOS R). The RF 50mm F1.2L USM will cost $ 2,299 and will start shipping next month, while the RF 35mm F1.8 Macro IS STM will cost $ 499 and will be available in December. All three of the ‘L’ lenses are weather-sealed.

The four new RF lenses are built around Canon’s new RF mount, which features a large 54mm diameter and shorter back focus distance than on current EOS DSLR cameras. The new RF mount enables new possibilities in optical design and lens formulation, allowing for faster and lighter lenses with higher performing optics.

The four new lenses, the Canon RF 28-70mm F2 L USM, RF 50mm F1.2 L USM, RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM and RF 35mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM capitalize on the robust optic foundation of Canon’s new EOS R system. The design behind Canon’s new EOS R camera and RF lens system started with the concept of the optimal rear lens element diameter and shorter distance (back focus) for a Full-Frame image sensor.

With over 130 million EF lenses in circulation since Canon launched the mount in 1987*, the Company is enhancing the possibilities for its loyal customers who own and love their EF glass. Canon is introducing three RF Lens Mount Adapters that expand the capabilities of existing EF lenses when paired with the EOS R camera. The Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R allows photographers to utilize the full breadth of Canon’s EF, EF-S, TS-E, and MP-E lenses on the newly introduced EOS R camera system. The Control Ring Mount Adapter adds a customizable control ring via the adapter that provides photographers with added functionality to their fingertips. New Canon RF Series Lenses

Three of the newly announced Canon RF lenses are counted among Canon’s top-of-the-line L-series optics; incorporating rugged, dust and water-resistant construction. All four new RF lenses feature a customizable control ring that allows photographers to adjust exposure compensation, shutter speed, aperture or ISO.

The Canon RF 28-70mm F2 L USM lens, the world’s first standard zoom lens with an f/2 aperture is excellent for capturing landscapes, weddings and portraits with its large aperture for stunning bokeh. Initial testing within Canon has shown this new lens to produce better optical image quality and sharpness over similar focal length EF-series lenses, including the extremely popular and highly regarded EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM.

A portrait photographer’s must-have, the Canon RF 50mm F1.2 L USM lens sports an ultra large-diameter f/1.2 aperture and Canon’s Air Sphere Coating (ASC) technology to dramatically reduce flares and ghosting. This amazing new lens is capable of rendering subjects life-size on the full-frame sensor with its minimum focusing distance of only 0.59 inches.

Photographers seeking an all-around utility lens for the new EOS R camera system need to look no further than the Canon RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM lens. Coming in nine percent shorter in length than the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM, this compact lens employs a CIPA standard of 5 stops of IS and is equipped with NANO USM technology, the first L-series lens with the technology. This small chip-shaped ultrasonic motor is engineered to help deliver high-speed, smooth, precise and near-silent operation, plus full-time manual focus (when using one-shot AF).

A fast, wide-angle single focus lens, the Canon RF 35mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM lens is an excellent option for photographers looking for an affordable compact lens. Featuring a maximum shooting magnification of 0.5x, the lens can easily shoot macro photography of subjects such as flowers, food and even insects. The lens also utilizes a CIPA standard of 5 stops of IS and is compatible with Hybrid IS, compensating for both angular and shift camera shake.

Enhanced Capabilities for Canon EF Lenses

Thanks to its large lens mount design, Canon’s new EOS R series camera system delivers new capabilities in both design and function, but for existing Canon lens owners it does something incredible.
