Lenovo announces Moto Z Play Android smartphone

Lenovo has announced the Moto Z Play smartphone at IFA in Berlin. The new model slots in below the Moto Z Force and Moto Z in Lenovo’s current smartphone lineup and, like its sister models, is compatible with the Moto Mod range of detachable accessory modules, including the also newly announced Hasselblad True Zoom camera module.

With a 16MP CMOS sensor, F2.0 aperture, on-sensor phase detection, laser-assisted AF and dual-LED flash the rear camera specification sounds very similar to the Moto G Plus that was announced back in May but, unlike the G Plus, the Moto Z Play is capable of recording 4K video. At the front the new device features a 5MP camera with a 85 degree angle of view and LED-flash.

Android 6.01 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with  a 2 GHz Octa-Core CPU. The device comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD slot. Images can be viewed on a 5.5″ 1080p Full-HD Super AMOLED display and a fingerprint reader below the screen provides extra security.

The device body comes with a water repellent nano-coating and a USB Type-C port is used for charging and connection to other devices. Lenovo claims the 3510 mAh battery is good for 50 hours of mixed use, and it also features the company’s TurboPower quick-charging which can give you up to 10 hours of usage in only 15 minutes of charging. 

The Moto Z Play will be available worldwide in September for €499/$ 408.

Lenovo announces Hasselblad True Zoom camera module for Moto Z smartphones

Lenovo offers a range of detachable smartphone accessory modules, called Moto Mods, for its Moto Z series smartphones. So far a power pack, a speaker and a mini-projector have been available. Now the company has launched a new addition at IFA in Berlin that is especially interesting to mobile photographers: the Hasselblad True Zoom.

As its name suggests the True Zoom camera module was developed in cooperation with Swedish camera maker Hasselblad, and with its 10x zoom lens and Xenon flash it converts any Moto Z device into a connected travel zoom camera. Like the other Moto Mods, the True Zoom is attached to the smartphone via magnetic force and can be used instantly – no need to restart the device or pair the phone. Communication between the devices takes place via a range of electronic contact pins.

The True Zoom’s body is made from a plastic material. Inside, images are captured on a 12MP 1/2.3″ CMOS sensor with a 1.55 um pixel size. The zoom lens offers an equivalent range of 25-250mm and a F3.5-6.5 aperture. Optical image stabilization is on board as well, and the module can record 1080p Full-HD video.

Currently compatible smartphone models are the Lenovo Moto Z, Moto Z Force and the just-announced Moto Z Play mid-range phone that comes with a 16MP camera, 5.5″ 1080p AMOLED display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor. We have had the chance to test the Hasselblad True Zoom on a Moto Z Force for a few days – you can read about our experience with the module in our hands-on review.

The Hasselblad True Zoom will ship globally in September and will cost $ 299/€299, or $ 249.99 from Verizon in the US.

Lenovo’s Moto Mod range includes a power pack, a speaker, a projector and now the new Hasselblad True Zoom camera module.

Tamron announces new 1.4X and 2X teleconverters

Tamron has announced two new teleconverters, designed to be used with select telephoto Tamron lenses, starting with the company’s new SP 150-600mm F5-6.3 Di VC USD G2. The 1.4X and 2X converters are moisture and dust-resistant, and turn the 150-600mm into a 210-600mm or 300-1200mm equivalent zoom, respectively. Both teleconverters use Tamron’s BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coatings to reduce ghosting and flare, and the 2X converter uses a low-dispersion element to suppress aberrations.

The 1.4X and 2X converters will cost $ 419 and $ 439 respectively. They’ll be available in Canon and Nikon mounts starting September 23rd in Japan, with availability in the US soon after.

TAMRON ANNOUNCES TWO TELECONVERTERS

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

1. Increases maximum focal length
Although the maximum focal length is increased, the minimum object distance remains nearly the same, so the magnification ratio during close focusing is enhanced. Both teleconverters are carefully designed and constructed to preserve the original superior image quality of the lens. The 2.0x model uses one LD (Low Dispersion) lens element to suppress aberrations. BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coatings are deployed on both models to help minimize ghosting and flare.

2. Autofocus and VC features are retained with compatible lenses
Autofocus functions normally with compatible lenses (please refer to Compatible Tamron Lens List below). VC (Vibration Compensation) performance is maintained.

3. Moisture-Proof and Dust-Resistant Construction
The new teleconverters are ideal for use in outdoor photography when matched with any lens that has a Moisture-Resistant Construction because special seals that are dust-resistant and moisture-proof are used at every joint and seam.

4. Sturdy, durable barrel design
The barrel frame of the teleconverters are made of die cast aluminum, except for some parts of the exterior finish, to maintain extra strength when used with large lenses. The design utilizes a bayonet mount made of brass on the camera side and stainless steel on the lens side to ensure excellent durability even with repeated mountings and detachments.

Canon announces new flagship EOS C700 cinema camera

Canon has announced a new addition to its Cinema EOS line of professional cinematography cameras, the EOS C700, which appears to be the first camera from Canon to leverage the global shutter CMOS sensor technology the company revealed yesterday. The camera will be available in three variants: the C700, C700 PL, and C700 GS PL.

The EOS C700 and EOS C700 PL feature a Super 35mm 4.5K sensor with wide dynamic range, which Canon says extends to 15 stops of latitude. The EOS 700 GS PL features a Super 35mm 4K sensor with global shutter. Global shutter is a desirable feature for filmmakers as it allows the camera to capture data from the entire sensor at one time. In contrast, most CMOS sensors capture data using what is known as a rolling shutter, in which data is captured line by line as it comes off the sensor, and which is responsible for the ‘Jello’ effect often seen in digital video.

All three cameras support Canon’s standard Log gamma profiles (Canon Log3, Canon Log2, and CanonLog), and support frame rates up to 4K/60p and 2K/240p. Canon has also added the ability to record footage straight to Apple ProRes, a common editing format, in addition to Raw data capture and Canon’s own XF-AVC compressed codec. Additionally, these are the first Cinema EOS cameras to include a de-squeeze feature for live monitoring when shooting with anamorphic lenses.

Owners won’t be locked into a lens mount or sensor; the C700 will allow users to switch between EF and PL mounts, as well as between the standard CMOS sensor and the global shutter CMOS sensor. (Though this work will need to be done at a Canon service facility.) Canon gives users incentive to pair the camera with EF lenses as these will make it possible to take advantage of Dual Pixel autofocus, however those who choose PL mount versions will get compatibility with Cooke/i metadata communication technology.

Finally, Canon has partnered with Codex to provide a fully integrated, no cable workflow option with the Codex CDX-36150 recorder.

These look like impressive tools, and they come with a price tag to match. The EOS C700 and C700 PL are expected to go on sale in December with a list price of $ 35,000, while the EOS C700 GS PL should be available in January (2017) with a list price of $ 38,000.

Furthermore, enabling Full HD high-frame-rate recording at a maximum of 240 fps (crop8), the camera enables smooth playback, even when slowed down, for great emotional visual expression.

Sony announces Xperia XZ flagship device with triple-sensor camera

Sony has announced its new top-end device in the Xperia Z line at IFA in Berlin and in the camera department the new model comes with what the company calls ‘triple sensor’ technology. In practical terms this means that the Sony IMX300 1/2.3” 23MP image sensor with on-sensor phase detection is accompanied by a laser that measures the distance to the subject and improves AF speed and accuracy in low light; and an RGBC-IR sensor that measures the color values of a scene in order to fine-tune the white balance system. The hybrid AF-system is also predictive and can track subjects in motion.

The Sony G lens comes with a 24mm equivalent focal length and an F2.0 aperture. In video mode the camera can record footage in 4K resolution and the Xperia XZ is also the first device on which Sony has implemented 5-axis electronic video stabilization. At the front there is a 13MP 1/3″ sensor with F2.0 aperture and 1080p video, specifications that would have been worthy of a main camera not too long ago.

The Android 6.01 system is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and 3GB of RAM. 32 or 64GB of internal storage are expandable via microSD card. Intelligent battery management means you are getting as much time as possible out of the 2900 mAh battery which also supports quick-charging. With a 1080p resolution and 5.2” diagonal the display specifications have not changed from previous high-end Xperia devices.

All the technology is wrapped up in an 8.1mm thin metal body with rounded edges, that is water and dust tight (IP65/68). A fingerprint sensor has been integrated into the power button for added security. The Sony Xperia XZ doesn’t offer any huge improvements over previous devices in the series but looks like a solid update. It will be available in Europe from October for €699 (approximately $ 780), there is no word on availability in other regions yet.

Canon announces the XC15 4K video camera

Canon has announced the new XC15 camera, a 4K UHD camcorder in a compact body.

Though it’s clearly a follow-up to the company’s XC10 model, introduced in 2015, Canon is positioning the XC15 very differently. When the XC10 was announced Canon presented it as a camera that could bridge the gap for those who needed to shoot both video and stills, emphasizing its 12MP still capture capability. In contrast, the press release for the XC15 doesn’t even mention still photos, instead positioning the camera as a high quality, compact 4K camcorder oriented at news and video production, possibly as a B-camera to a Cinema EOS model. Canon hasn’t yet provided detailed specifications, but like the XC10 it uses a 1” CMOS sensor and a 10x optical zoom lens, which appears to be the same 24.1mm-241mm F2.8-5.6 (equivalent) lens found on the XC10.

It appears that Canon is making an effort to respond to one very specific area of feedback from many of its video users: the need for XLR microphone support. The camera ships with Canon’s MA-400 microphone adapter that provides XLR-input compatibility.

The XC15 will be available in September for $ 3000.00

Tamron announces 2nd generation SP 150-600mm Di VC USD ‘G2’

Tamron has announced a new version of its popular 150-600mm telezoom – the SP 150-600mm F5-6.3 Di VC USD G2. The ‘G2’ stands for second generation, reflecting several improvements to the design.

These improvements include more effective image stabilization (to a claimed 4.5 stops of benefit), faster AF speed and compatibility with Tamron’s ‘TAP-in’ Console, for lens firmware updates and customization. A ‘Flex Zoom Lock’ mechanism has also been added to keep the lens barrel fixed at any focal length. Flourine coating has been added to the front lens element, and the entire lens barrel offers greater moisture resistance.

The SP 150-600mm F5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 will sell for $ 1399 and will go on sale in Japan starting September 23rd in Nikon and Canon mounts, arriving in the US soon after. A Sony A-mount version will follow later. A pair of new teleconverters designed for use with the 150-600mm have also been announced.

3. MOD reduced to provide optimum tele-macro photography
Tamron’s advanced manufacturing technology has made it possible to reduce the MOD (Minimum Object Distance) to 86.6 in (2.2m), compared to 106.3 in (2.7m) for Model A011, and has allowed for the wonders of tele-macro photography with its 1:3.9 Maximum Magnification Ratio.

4. AF speed is faster and much more responsive with moving subjects
The Model A022 is equipped with a USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) ring-type motor that delivers excellent responsiveness and control. AF speed is significantly improved from the current model, and it enables accurate high-speed focus even when capturing moving subjects. When shooting with AF, the Full-time Manual Focus override allows you to instantly make fine-focusing adjustments manually, without having to switch between modes.

5. VC performance is now 4.5 stops and offers 3 modes optimized for different situations
The VC (Vibration Compensation) effectiveness is equivalent to 4.5 stops, based on image stabilization performance levels established by CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association) when using VC MODE 3. Model A022 now has three types of VC modes, and it is possible to choose the optimum VC mode according to the situation for taking a photograph, such as when panning.

  • VC MODE 1 is the standard mode that strikes a great balance between the stability of the viewfinder image and the stabilization effects.
  • VC MODE 2 is exclusively used for panning.
  • VC MODE 3 prioritizes the stabilization of the captured images and forgoes the stabilization of the viewfinder image.

A new VC Mode can be programmed with the optional TAMRON TAP-in Console™. You can overwrite VC Mode 1 with a new VC Mode that allows stabilization to be engaged constantly for videography purposes. In this mode, the LCD screen is used.

6. New FLEX ZOOM LOCK mechanism enables locking of the zoom ring at any position
The FLEX ZOOM LOCK mechanism quickly locks or unlocks the zoom at any position simply by sliding the zoom ring. Photographers can shoot from any angle without the zoom extending unintentionally. Additionally, the lens features the conventional Zoom Lock switch to prevent unwanted barrel extension during transportation.

7. Fluorine Coating and Moisture-Resistant Construction for a more user-friendly lens
The front surface of the lens element is coated with a protective fluorine compound that is water- and oil-repellent. The lens surface is easier to wipe clean and is less vulnerable to the damaging effects of dirt, dust, moisture and fingerprints. For greater protection when shooting outdoors, leak-proof seals throughout the lens barrel help protect your equipment.

8. Electromagnetic diaphragm system now used for Nikon-mount lenses
An electromagnetic diaphragm system, which has been a standard feature for Canon-mount lenses, is now employed in Nikon-mount lenses[1]. More precise diaphragm and aperture control is possible because the diaphragm blades are driven and controlled by a motor through electronic pulse signals.

Canon announces full-frame EOS 5D Mark IV with 30MP sensor and Dual Pixel AF

Canon has officially announced the EOS 5D Mark IV, the fourth generation of its full-frame DSLR for enthusiast and professional photographers. Built around a 30MP Dual Pixel AF sensor, it significantly extends the still and video capabilities the series has become known for.

The 30MP Dual Pixel CMOS sensor allows for fast phase-detection autofocus in video and—for the first time in a Canon full-frame body—continuous focus for stills shooting in live view. Video can be captured in the DCI (4096 x 2160) 4K format at up to 30p (and up to 60p in 1080, and 120p in 720). 4K video is captured in the high quality but inefficient Motion JPEG format.

The camera’s AF coverage, sensitivity and lens compatibility has been expanded in-line with the EOS-1D X Mark II and the maximum frame rate boosted to seven frames per second. The 5D IV also becomes the first model to capture separate data from the dual photodiodes that make up each pixel, enabling some innovative post-processing options to correct for minor focus errors or remove lens ghosting.

The EOS 5D Mark IV will go on sale in early September with an MSRP of $ 3499. Kits with the 24-70mm F4L IS will ship at around the same time for $ 4399, while a 24-105mm F4L IS II USM kit follows in late October for $ 4599.

The Next Generation of EOS 5D Cameras

In addition to the new Full Frame sensor, the new EOS 5D Mark IV includes a 61-point High-Density Reticular AF II system, similar to the one found in the flagship EOS-1D X Mark II, with all AF points selectable by the user (and up to 41 cross-type points depending on the lens in use). The AF system, improved over previous Canon 5D series models, includes expanded coverage across the frame that supports AF at maximum apertures up to f/8 with all 61 points for high-precision autofocus even when using EF super-telephoto lenses with an EF extender. Standard ISO range for the EOS 5D Mark IV is ISO 100-32,000 and is expandable to 50-102,400.

The EOS 5D Mark IV also introduces a new 150,000 pixel RGB+IR metering sensor with enhanced precision and performance compared to its predecessor, improving upon facial recognition and tracking as well as nature and sports scenes with fast-moving action. AF sensitivity in low light is EV-3 and EV-4 when in Live View mode. The EOS Scene Detection System can detect and compensate for flickering light sources that are often used in gymnasiums and swimming pools. When enabled, this anti-flicker system automatically adjusts shutter release timing to help reduce disparities in exposure and color especially during continuous burst shooting.

Following the groundbreaking video recording capabilities introduced in the EOS 5D Mark II and EOS 5D Mark III, the EOS 5D Mark IV takes the next leap forward offering DCI 4K video recording. Adding to the versatility of capturing 4K video, is Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF. This proven autofocus system allows for continuous focus tracking of subjects, and can be customized by the user for optimal performance. Tamron announces SP 90mm F2.8 Di Macro and TAP-in console for Sony A-mount

Japanese optical manufacturer Tamron has announced it is to launch its exiting 90mm macro lens in a Sony A-mount, and that Sony users will now be able to update and customise some of their Tamron lenses using the company’s TAP-in lens console. The Sony version of the SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro 1:1 USD will be the same as the versions produced for Canon and Nikon users, but will not feature Tamron’s Vibration Correction system as Sony cameras have their own in-body stabilization.

The TAP-in console allows customers to tune focus, update firmware and customize features such as focus limiters and full-time manual focus in those lenses that offer them. The console is compatible with the latest batch of Tamron fixed focal length lenses, including the 85mm f/1.8 which the company has yet to launch in Sony mount.

The SP 90mm f/2.8 Di Macro 1:1 USD and the TAP-in console will be available from 25th August. Although the press release doesn’t mention prices, the console for Canon and Nikon users currently sells for $ 60/£55 and the lens for $ 749/£579.

Built upon the outstanding optical performance of the legendary Tamron 90mm Macro

Inheriting the optical design of the previous 90mm Macro lens (Model F004), the new Model F017 delivers the same excellent resolving power and remarkably soft background blur effects (bokeh). The advanced construction includes one LD (Low Dispersion) glass element that maximally limits the dispersion properties of light and two XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) glass elements that correct dispersion properties to an even greater extent. The special elements optimally compensate for on-axis and lateral chromatic aberrations from macro shooting range to infinity. Furthermore, the design ensures the best imaging performance at any range by adopting the Floating System which shifts the location of a group of elements to the best possible position as the focusing group travels relative to shooting distances. From 1:1, life-size close-ups to the most distant horizon, this new 90mm Macro lens achieves outstanding image quality.

Optimized for spectacular background blur effects (bokeh)

Earlier models of Tamron’s 90mm macro lens received high acclaim for their spectacular blur effects, and the new 90mm macro builds upon this legacy. To continue this commitment, thorough optical simulations were conducted. Careful examinations were performed to minimize any blurring with a doubled image appearing for a single line because that phenomenon has a considerably negative impact on background image quality. As a result, the lens achieves both sharp, vivid images and spectacular background blur effects. This combination is highly prized by portrait photographers.

Moisture-Proof and Dust-Resistant Construction

Areas of possible ingress surrounding switches and the boundary between the focus ring and the lens barrel are protected by special seals. These provide stronger protection against the intrusion of dirt, dust and moisture compared to the Moisture-Resistant Construction used previously. This additional protection assures even more wide-ranging opportunities for using this lens.

A durable Fluorine Coating on the front element repels water and fingerprints

The water and oil repellant coating applied to the front element surface allows instant removal of dirt or smudges with ease. The coating also provides a reasonable level of durability, and will sustain its effectiveness for years. The Fluorine Coating technology that Tamron developed for use in industrial optics applications was first used on the SP 15-30mm which was introduced in 2014.

USD actuator maximized for macro photography is fast, accurate and quiet

The control software program for the USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) actuator has been revised to provide substantially improved focusing speed and accuracy when using AF. The USD quickly addresses any out-of-focus condition caused by back-and-forth camera movement (which commonly occurs during macro photography) ensuring better results when shooting at close range.

Advanced coating technology reduces flare and ghosting

Two advanced coating technologies, both providing outstanding anti-reflection performance, are applied to critical element surfaces for maximum light transmission. eBAND (Extended Bandwidth & Angular-Dependency) Coating boasts outstanding anti-reflection performance across nearly the entire range of visible rays, and BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) Coating utilizes traditional multi-layered, anti-reflection technology. This combination virtually eliminates extraneous reflections and substantially reduces ghosting and flare which enables the lens to achieve flawless, crystal clear images.

Use of circular aperture to achieve beautiful, rounded blur effects (bokeh)

When shooting a scene that includes a point-source of light in the subject background, marvelously tuned blur (bokeh) can be obtained without generating undesirable polygonal shapes of aperture patterns thanks to the circular aperture. The 9-blade diaphragm retains a nearly perfect circular opening even when stopped down by two stops.

Focusing options perfectly suited to a macro lens

The new 90mm macro has a focus limiter that makes it possible to shorten the time for accurately focusing on a subject when the working range is known. The lens also features an Internal Focusing system, so the overall length of the lens never changes, not even when focusing. As a result, the user is assured of a comfortable working distance of at least 139mm (5.5 in) from the front of the lens. In addition, the lens is equipped with a Full-time Manual Focus override mechanism which makes it possible to flexibly choose focal points. Even with the AF driving system in action, it is possible to instantaneously override it to make manual fine focusing adjustments without switching the AF-MF mode back and forth.

Compatibility with TAMRON TAP-in Console™

Always as new as tomorrow: You can update firmware, customize autofocus positions and adjust the mechanical setup and preferences of the 90mm lens by simply attaching it to the TAMRON TAP-in Console and connecting it via USB to a personal computer. (The TAP-in Console is an optional accessory.)

Sony mount model launched

Tamron Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Shiro Ajisaka; Headquarters: Saitama City), a leading manufacturer of optics for diverse applications, announces the launch of the TAMRON TAP-in Console (Model TAP-01), a lens accessory that enables firmware updating and customized setups for selected Tamron lenses, for Sony cameras (Sony A mount model).

For the first time, customers can update firmware in selected Tamron lenses and customize various lens functions to meet their needs simply by attaching a TAMRON TAP-in Console and running the TAMRON TAP-in Utility software on their PC or Mac.

Previously, firmware updates could be performed only at a TAMRON Customer Service Center. Using the new accessory and an internet connection, customers can access a dedicated website and update firmware themselves anytime, anywhere. In addition, selected lenses can be customized by changing various settings (described below) to match the customer’s preferences based on how they like to use the lens, making it even more versatile and user-friendly.

Custom Options

With a TAMRON TAP-in Console, customers can do the following things.

  • Update firmware
  • Update the firmware of compatible lenses
  • Update the firmware of the TAP-in Console itself
  • Customize functions of selected lenses
  • Focus adjustment
  • Focus distance limiter customization (only for lenses that have the Focus Limiter feature)
  • Full-time Manual Focus override customization (only for lenses that have the Full-time Manual Focus feature)
  • Save customized data files

Because Tamron lenses compatible with Sony cameras are not equipped with the VC (Vibration Compensation) system, the Customize function for VC adjustment, which is available for the Nikon and Canon mount models, is not available for the new Sony mount model.

TAMRON TAP-in Utility Software
 
Customers download the free TAMRON TAP-in Utility and install it on their Mac or PC. Updating firmware and customizing various lens functions is as easy as connecting the TAP-in Console with a USB cable and making selections. An internet connection is required for firmware updates.

Updating Firmware
Customers can update firmware of selected Tamron lenses using this utility software. Additionally, the firmware in the TAP-in Console unit can be updated as needed. Using an internet connection and the utility software, users can access a dedicated website and easily confirm that the lens attached to the TAP-in Console—and the Console itself—have the most up-to-date firmware. If a newer version is available, updating is quick and secure.

Customization of Selected Tamron Lenses
Various lens functions can be customized, depending on the lens model and built-in features.

(1) Focus adjustment
Focus can be adjusted in three distance regions: close, intermediate, and far ranges. For zoom lenses with variable focal length ranges, adjustments can be made for up to eight segments, which means that focus adjustment for a combined total of up to 24 regions is possible. Fixed-focal length lenses have only one segment, so customization for the three distance regions is possible. The conditions and range of possible adjustments may differ according to the lens model.

(2) Focus distance limiter customization
For lenses equipped with a Focus Limiter switch, it is possible to adjust the autofocus drive range by setting the near and far limits according to user preferences. If the Focus Limiter switch has three positions, setting the middle position is also possible. Only lens models equipped with the Focus Limiter function can be adjusted. The conditions and range of possible adjustments may differ according to the lens model.

(3) Full-time Manual Focus override customization
For any lens with a Full-time Manual Focus override system, you can set the mode to ON or OFF. In addition, you can optimize the sensitivity of the focus ring to your preference relative to its angular rotation anywhere between High and Low, when setting the manual focus mode menu button to ON.

Brooks Institute announces closure

The California-based Brooks Institute, which offered degrees in photography, media and visual arts for 70 years, announced that it will close its doors this fall. In a statement released by the institute, the for-profit college cites the negative impact of recent stricter guidelines on career college programs introduced in 2011.

The guidelines require that at least 35% of for-profit institution graduates be repaying their student loans, in addition to meeting debt-to-earnings requirements. Colleges that operate for profit are targeted in particular, as students who attend them represent a disproportionally high number of student loan borrowers, and in 2011 they accounted for 46% of student loan dollars in default.

As of January of this year, Brooks Institute calculated the cost of its 3-year professional photography Bachelor’s degree at $ 81,330 for tuition and fees, with an additional $ 10,000 in books and supplies. Brooks stated that the median amount borrowed for the program was $ 15,584 in Federal loans, and that the job placement rate was 80%.

For the time being, classes continue at Brooks for currently enrolled students, and the college says it will continue offering administrative support through the end of October.
