Samsung gives insight into NX development

07 May

Samsung has published the second in a series of articles explaining the development of lenses for its NX mirrorless camera system. The article features video and interviews with a range of the people involved in the planning, design and development of lenses (and various aspects of the NX system). Also included in the article is an image of what appear to be design studies for the NX system – including some retro/futurist, seemingly Hasselblad-inspired mockups. If you have any interest in the NX system, the piece gives an interesting insight into the possibilities the company is considering. (from PetaPixel)

Reflections in the glass wall at the north-west end of the Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts at the UEA. It was Satuarday morning in the summer break, so there wasn’t anyone around and all the chairs in the restaurant were empty. In other words, I could take pictures of things without getting arrested or something.

Figaro Pho – Gerontophobia (Old People)

07 May

Figaro takes another trip down to the bus stop only to discover grandma Dorothy is sitting on the bench, beckoning Figaro to sit next to her for some company. His horror of old people escalates as Dorothy offers Figaro a boiled mint from the bottom of her purse.

Figaro is peacefully laying down on the edge of the cliff (his favorite outdoors spot). The serenity is broken when his world literally turns upside down and he becomes the victim of an intergalactic vacuum cleaner.

hope you enjoy. I am no photographer (however i am inspired after seeing these fantastic photos) so I stole these photos mainly from flickr. which I feel bad about and I just want to thank flickr.com because otherwise I wouldn’t have ben able to make this (good, or bad thats up to you) video. I am also really happy to have found the very last photo which you’ll, I hope feel the same way as me, as though it totally sums up this.. overused word but.. brilliant coldplay song 🙂 Swallowed In The Sea You cut me down a tree And brought it back to me And that’s what made me see Where I was going wrong You put me on a shelf And kept me for yourself I can only blame myself You can only blame me And I could write a song A hundred miles long Well, that’s where I belong And you belong with me And I could write it down or spread it all around Get lost and then get found Or swallowed in the sea You put me on a line And hung me out to dry And darling that’s when I Decided to go to sea You cut me down to size And opened up my eyes Made me realize What I could not see And I could write a book The one they’ll say that shook The world, and then it took It took it back from me And I could write it down Or spread it all around Get lost and then get found And you’ll come back to me Not swallowed in the sea Ooh… And I could write a song A hundred miles long Well, that’s where I belong And you belong with me The streets you’re walking on A thousand houses long Well, that’s where I belong And
