Photography Tutorial – How to take Ice Hockey Photos

13 Jan

froknowsphoto.com How to take ice hockey photos. Ice hockey is one of the hardest sports in my mind to try and photography. It was my first passion as a photographer and though many photographers tried to steer me clear of shooting it, I stuck with it and felt like I got as close to mastering it as possible. There are a lot of factors you need to take into consideration when you are shooting ice hockey. You have to think about the basics like what should my ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture be but than you also have to think about what will make for a good image. That is where a lot of people get lost when it comes to sports photography. You see a lot of images of players standing around because action shots tend to be more difficult.

Although you may have never thought to use Exposure Compensation previously, your ongoing attempts to produce better images will inevitably lead you to explore this features ability. The first thing you need to know about Exposure Compensation is that it is NOT available in all pro shooting modes (ie M,AV,TV,P). To be more specific this feature is not available in “Manual” mode. So what does Exposure Compensation do? This feature will allow you to adjust the exposure manually when your camera tends to underexpose or overexpose your image, since shooting in these modes may often give you an improper exposure. As a point of interest, each expert shooting mode on your “Mode Dial” takes away one ability that manual mode would otherwise give you full control of. For example, “AV” mode allows you the ability to dial your aperture and ISO to what ever setting you wish, allowing your camera to judge what shutter speed to use automatically. Whereas “TV” mode will allow you to adjust your shutter speed and ISO to whatever setting you wish and allow your camera to adjust the aperture automatically. This is

Canon EOS 60D timelapse tutorial

11 Jan

My Facebook Page www.facebook.com Also I currently helped out film behind the scenes on this video www.youtube.com And my first review on the Canon BG-E9 Battery Grip!! www.youtube.com This is predominately the cheapest set up for a timelapse costing .00*. There are other options that canon offers like canon’s software disc that arrives with there products for the computer(EOS UTILITY). Also Canon’s remote controller that only encounters a bulb lock and is around .00 (RS-60E3). There is also the wireless remote shutter, an after market product and is around 0.00 which does have interval settings but are hard to find in retail stores. However there is a alternative to all of the above having the free version of this app (DSLR remote), the only down term is that you can’t shoot in all features (eg. can’t adjust white balance, shutter speed or interval option). Though if you do purchase the pro version, make sure your camera is certified on the list of compatibility, plus you will need wi fi or some type of wireless router to configure the computer with the phone. Also before you take the first shot set your lens to manual. The server link is here www.ononesoftware.com/iphone App link pro version itunes.apple.com App link free version itunes.apple.com *not including: -apple mac -Camera -phone etc. Please comment, rate and subscribe thanks:)

Web Design | In-Camera HDR Detailed Tutorial

06 Jan

Check out this informative tutorial : This video explains into depth how to create a photograph that offers an increase in the dynamic range (or higher dynamic range) that is done by using your camera’s Multiple Exposure alone rather than using Photomatix HDR (High Dynamic Range) photographic image software, which usually result in unusable garbage due to lack of knowledge in tone mapping. Since doing this in-camera offers realistic higher dynamic range than garbage results coming from Photomatix. No, you cannot use Auto Exposure Bracketing while Multiple Exposure because with AEB enabled, the Multiple Exposure will be disabled. Enjoy. The BlackSwan Makeup Tutorial by Nolan Robert

29 Dec

::PLEASE READ:: Due to the nature of “The BlackSwan” trailer, this video tutorial is slightly dark and theatrical. I do NOT condone anything that this video or the trailer implies. I was inspired to evoke a certain emotion that comes with this particular look. Please accept my apologies if I offended anyone: This makeup tutorial was inspired by the makeup used in the movie “The BlackSwan” as well as the soon to be infamous movie poster. This is my interpretation of the look. Please be advised that the image presented at the beginning and end is a Photoshop image of the look. Colors where enhanced to match the poster and certain editing was done to achieve a almost identical look. If you have any questions regarding Photoshop, please leave a comment or send me a message. ::Disclaimer:: The music used in the tutorial is for entertainment purposes only.
