Sheila Murphy took family and vacation photos for most of her life, but didn’t consider herself a photographer until her daughter got her interested in black-and-white film photography. She now pursues personal projects and occasional commercial work, and cites a love of the outdoors as the starting point for much of her photography. DPR regular Steve Badger says that there’s ‘no excuse to be bored’ when there’s a camera at hand. His love of photography began when he borrowed a friend’s superzoom, and eventually invested in a DSLR system. Janne Voutilainen is a man of relatively few words. In that context, the minimalism of some of his photos makes perfect sense.
