Looking for more info about Nikon’s movie settings for shooting video? Check out this quick video about what the user manual doesn’t explain. I received a comment on my previous D7000 video that you can change the aperture using the dials on the camera, while in Live View mode. The comment made me think some might be confused about recording in Live View in general, as the D7000 doesn’t presently allow you to change the aperture in Live View while using the dials. So I put this video together to show you how shooting with manual movie settings on is different than shooting with manual movie settings off. Stay tuned for my next video on video lens suggestions.

Here’s my quick review of the Nikon 35mm 1.8 AF-S DX lens. Pretty good little lens for DX cameras and it’s really a wonderful deal for the price and image quality it delivers. Check my website for more coolness – www.bustedshutter.com

This week we take a look at another wide-angle zoom, but this time from Nikon. This is a monster lens, with a monster aperture for a wide-angle: f/2.8. How does this Nikkor perform? Is it worth the cash? Pricing reference: www.digitalrev.com

The Nikkor 28mm f/1.4 was a legendary lens with stunning performance but was disappointingly discontinued. This new 24mm f/1.4 is somewhat taking its place as a fast wide-angle, but the question is – is it as good? We take the Nikon lens out to the Chinese University of Hong Kong to take some shots and find out what it’s like. Pricing Reference: www.digitalrev.com

We’ve just updated our in-depth review of the Nikon D3200 entry-level DSLR to include a page of information about Nikon’s WU-1a Wi-Fi adapter. The WU-1a arrived in office as we were preparing the review for publication so we’ve spent the past 48 hours using it, before adding it to the review. The WU-1a allows both wireless image transfer to a an Android smartphone or tablet, or to use the device as a remote shutter trigger (release of an iOS version is planned for fall 2012).
