en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caricature

A caricature is a portrait that exaggerates or distorts the essence of a person, animal or object to create an easily identifiable visual likeness. In literature, a caricature is a description of a person using exaggeration of some characteristics and oversimplification of others.

According to the Indian Cartoonist S. Jithesh, a caricature is the satirical illustration of a person or a thing, but a cartoon is the satirical illustration of an idea.

2011 Honda Fury Orange Chopper Motorcycle From Honda

28 Dec

I made this video, using my Nikon D90, to show my 2011 Honda Fury in orange. I just bought this motorcycle two weeks ago after taking long time researching for the best and nicest motorcycle in the market at an affordable price. It was between a Harley Rocker C and this Honda Fury. the Harley dealer wanted too much for a used Rocker C $ 20K +, so I went to buy the Honda Fury and I think I got a good deal $ 11300 for a brand new bike and I got an extended 5 year factory warranty too. out the door was $ 13K + . I am financing $ 10K and my payments are 0 a month. I have pretty good credit so that helped a lot. hope this info helps prospect buyers of Honda Fury. Thanks for watching

SANCTUARY

[Fullscreen friendly] This is a short piece we shot and chopped when we went down to Monterrey this weekend. The monarchs migrate up and down the coast to try and survive the winter. We got a unique opportunity to photograph them off the beaten path. Tourists gather at the park in Pacific Grove to observe the monarchs over 60 feet away. We were given access to a nook where we could almost reach out and touch them. Historically, most of the western population of monarchs settled in the fog shrouded Monterrey pine forest of Pacific grove. To survive, the Monarch migrates to safe overwintering sites that are neither cold enough to kill it nor so warm that it wastes precious energy flying too much. Monarchs west of the Rockies come to Pacific Grove and other locations along California’s Central Coast. En route, they may travel as far as 200 miles a day, and fly as high as 10000 feet. The magic and mystery of the Monarch migration has charmed and captivated Pacific Grove residents and visitors for many years. Unfortunately the phenomenon of the annual Monarch migration is endangered, The eastern population is being severely impacted by deforestation in its Mexican overwintering grounds and the western Monarchs are being squeezed by the constant pressures of coastal development and dwindling space. 13th annual D.U.M.B.O. Art Under the Bridge Festival® (Sept 25 to Sept 27, 2009)
www.dumboartfestival.org/press_release.html

The three-day multi-site neighborhood-wide event is a one-of-a-kind art happening: where serendipity meets the haphazard and where the unpredictable, spontaneous and downright weird thrive. The now teenage D.U.M.B.O. Art Under the Bridge Festival® presents touchable, accessible, and interactive art, on a scale that makes it the nation’s largest urban forum for experimental art.

Art Under the Bridge is an opportunity for young artists to use any medium imaginable to create temporary projects on-the-spot everywhere and anywhere, completely transforming the Dumbo section of Brooklyn, New York, into a vibrant platform for self-expression. In addition to the 80+ projects throughout the historical post-industrial waterfront span, visitors can tour local artists’ studios or check out the indoor video_dumbo, a non-stop program of cutting-edge video art from New York City and around the world.

The Dumbo Arts Center (DAC) has been the exclusive producer of the D.U.M.B.O Art Under the Bridge Festival® since 1997. DAC is a big impact, small non-profit, that in addition to its year-round gallery exhibitions, is committed to preserving Dumbo as a site in New York City where emerging visual artists can experiment in the public domain, while having unprecedented freedom and access to normally off-limit locations.
