I’m on the road with spotty ‘net (and also a Nikon guy, so there’s that). But Syl Arena has been playing around with the just-announced Canon flash and radio transmitter. Here’s the five-word version of Syl’s review:
“Canonistas, hold your heads high.”
Well, then. Looks like Canon has uncorked a very sophisticated and robust flash system for discerning photographers who like their photos well-lit, if not quite in focus. (Kidding! Mostly!)

Pentax releases second silver K-5 limited edition, adding slimline 40mm F2.8

Pentax has announced a silver special edition of its K-5 DSLR, this time combined with the slim DA 40mm F2.8 XS prime lens redesigned by Marc Newson. The latest package, following the silver K-5 body offered in 2011, will be limited to 1,500 examples worldwide. It will be available in April exclusively from Pentax or Ace Photo, at a price of $ 1599.95 ($ 100 less, with the lens, than the previous, body-only version).

We’ve had a chance to prepare a set of full-resolution studio-based JPEG samples from a pre-production Canon EOS 5D Mark III, at all available ISOs from 50 to 102,800. Secret Industries Space Theatre Present’s – The Moon In 3D and In Colour. This is my first 3D film in Stereoscopic And Is A Test. A version that will require Cyan 3D glasses will be uploaded shortly. How to view this video in 3D without glasses: 1. Click on HD for the best possible picture. 2. Click on full screen. 3. To practise, Let the video start playing and then press pause. 4. Look at the video and relax your eyes. 5. slowly cross your eyes until 3 images appear. 6. Relax your eyes and focus on the centre image. 7. The centre image will apppear in 3D 8. Replay the film and enjoy the 3D experience. You may not get it the first time so practise. Once you know how, it is very easy. All Images Presented In This Film Are From The Apollo Space Missions And Can Be Found In The Nasa Archives. The original Apollo Mission Moon Images Shot By The Astronauts Appear Black & White And Show No Detail. This Is How Nasa Have Presented These Images To The General Public For The Past 40 Years. So, What I Have Done Is, Enhanced These Images Using Video Enhancing Techniques And Computer Software And Have Brought These Images To Life To Reveal The True Moon Surface. My Channel And Subscribe!
