After a year and half break, I’ve decided to hold another workshop. I’m going to be in Los Angeles during the middle of April so I thought it might be nice to hold a workshop while I’m there. This time, I’ve partnered with Box8 Studios in downtown LA and I’m really excited about this because the space is amazing! The workshop will have the same format, Saturday is a heavy shooting day, Sunday will be about fashion retouching and business. I won’t get into the details here in this post but you can read all about it here and sign up for it if you want! Space is limited and I know it’s almost a month away but I’m really looking forward to meeting those who decide to attend! See you in Los Angeles, homies!

I acquired my first spill-kill reflectors by accident. There were two, included in a set of used Profoto Acutes I bought from a dentist. (One of them is pictured above, at left.)
My first thought: These things are useless. Should I throw them away or try to sell them on eBay?
But these days, I generally do not stick a studio head into an umbrella without one. Read more »

Visit www.s3dgamerzone.com for more 3D Videos !! If your like me and love your multi player matches then it might be safe to say having accuracy is a very important skill you need to have in order to keep your kill ratio up in COD . Kill ratio is often what other players (Like me) get made fun of for having to low , basically it means I die more times then I kill. I’m man enough to admit to it and I have accepted it and moved on. A person that has a 4.0 ratio would have 12 kills and only 3 deaths. This would be considered a good player in most peoples eyes and often these players have a much higher accuracy. Many clan members I associate with that game on a 3D rdy PC have told me they couldn’t play Black ops Multi player matches in 3D because they are constantly competing against other clans in tournaments . This would give there opponents a slight edge in there eyes. This is also subjective because others might find it gives them the advantage. I did suggest grouping up with clans that have 3D systems to do tournaments but its a little difficult to find Clans that are serious about there tournaments and all game in 3D. I’m not saying it’s imposable, but difficult. None the less its clear being able to maintain good accuracy is important when gaming in 3D as a whole and for some its crucial especially when play a game like Black Ops. So does playing Black Ops in 3D effect your Accuracy ? Go to www.s3dgamerzone.com to find out more about why Black ops in 3D can effect your …

www.hitechlegion.com For the full review and benchmarks The Asrock Vision 3D HTPC was designed to deliver cutting edge home theater technology in a compact form factor. The Asrock Vision 3D HTPC uses an Intel “Arrandale” mobile processor, paired with an NVIDIA GT 425M GPU instead of the typical Intel Atom processor found in most pre-built HTPCs. The components of the Asrock Vision 3D HTPC are compactly housed inside a thick and heavy anodized aluminum enclosure. A slot-loading Blu-ray or DVD drive can also be found inside with a 2.5″ 7200rpm HDD for storage and 4GB of DDR3 SO-DIMM memory upgradeable to 8GB. The Asrock Vision 3D HTPC is not only capable of 3D media playback with 7.1 HD audio support over HDMI 1.4a, but users can also enjoy media encoding and even 3D Vision video gameplay.

We’ve just got hold of Nikon’s 36MP D800 full-frame DSLR and have been seeing what it’s like to shoot with. We’ve shot it alongside the D3S to see exactly what effect trebling the pixel count has. In addition we look at the handling, its video shooting controls and how it behaves with vintage lenses. To put our studio samples in context we’ve also included a 40-image real-world samples gallery and a look at the camera’s low-light performance. You may be surprised by the outcome.

We’ve updated our Canon EOS 5D Mark III preview with a selection of real world samples images and more detailed descriptions of the camera’s behavior. We’ve shot a range of subjects under different lighting types and light levels to see how the latest 22MP performs. These shots were taken using a pre-production camera running final firmware, so may not be 100% representative of final image quality (though Canon allowing us to publish them suggests they’re not far off). We’re expecting a production-standard camera and will be adding studio test shots next week.
