Kinect vs. Mirror

14 May

What happens if you point the Kinect at a mirror? Pretty much what you’d expect! This is the second demo video for my OS X Kinect software, which can now texture-map the 3D scene using camera data. Geeks, get your 3D glasses ready, because there’s a brief red-cyan anaglyph portion at the end. Sources: bitbucket.org

Mothership drops bowling balls over South Dakota!

14 May

Extreme weather photographer Chad Cowan documented this other-worldly storm structure in South Dakota on July 23, 2010! Earlier in its life-span, the storm dropped a RECORD-BREAKING hail stone near the town of Vivian! The monster hail measured a whopping 8 INCHES IN DIAMETER and weighed just under TWO POUNDS!!! Check out Chad’s website for more information and licensing (prints available) www.chasethestorms.com and www.tornadovideos.net for extreme weather video and news!

Facebook.com – Become a Fan! Twitter.com – Follow Us! Get the deets on how Daniel Radcliffe is stirring things up in his new movie. It’s right now. Hey guys! Thanks for checking out to ClevverTV. I’m your host Dana Ward coming at you from our Hollywood headquarters. Today we’ve got news on Daniel Radcliffe’s upcoming movie. He’s set to star in the indie comedy flick, The Amateur Photographer, playing just that, a young amateur photographer!!! Thanks to Variety for the 411, Daniel’s character goes around his small New England town documenting the most intimate moments of his neighbors’ lives. Of course, the resulting photography causes a bit of backlash from the local authorities but there might be a little good in the form of a community revolution that also goes down. It’s cool that this takes place in 1970 so we won’t be seeing any high-tech digital photos being Twitpic-ed; we’ll be dealing with old school film. Love it. So that’s the latest on The Amateur Photographer and its star Daniel Radcliffe. Be sure to follow us on Twitter — that’s @Clevvertv — for more movie updates just like this one. Dana Ward here and as always, we’ll see you soon with more entertainment news!
