D7000 – First 1080p Test – Film Looks

21 Oct

First test clips from the new Nikon D7000. Footage shot in Manual mode, Tamron 90mm f2.8 + Nikon 50mm f1.8. (Shoots better with the Nikon 35mm f1.8 DX.) I find the video too sharp and too saturated straight out of the camera. Adjusted in Lightroom to soften details to make it more ‘film-like’. Downsized from 1080 for Vimeo (720). Your thoughts….?

Hatsune Miku (????) is a singing synthesizer application with a female persona, developed by Crypton Future Media. It uses Yamaha Corporation’s Vocaloid 2 synthesizing technology. The name of the character comes from a fusion of the Japanese for first (? hatsu), sound (? ne) and future (Miku (??) sounds like a nanori reading of future, ??, normally read as “mirai”), referring to her position as the first of Crypton’s “Character Vocal Series”.
