Expensive DSLR/Lens vs a Speed Light for Indoor Low Light Photography

I tested sample pictures taken with Nikon D3s and Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 VRII lens and compared it with inexpensive Nikon D7000 and 50mm 1.8 lens and Nikon SB700 to see which picture produces better results. www.dslrfilmnoob.com Just upgraded to a Zoom h4n and that it sync perfectly with the canon 7d, I ran this test to get an idea of what microphone configuration I’ll be using on my next project. The zoom h4n has no sync issues at all, and has a time and date stamp on each file which is great for matching up audio it will be replacing my zoom h4 as my most used field recorder. I have the Zoom h4n set in 4 channel mode so that i can use both microphones and the zoom h4n’s on board mic’s at the same time. Shot at 720p at ISO800 2f lens Nikon Nikkor 50mm 1.4f DFocus follow focus adapter and Indisystems square with 15mm rails

S-10 Blazer Cadillac 500

Here is the Cadillac 500 I’ve put into an S-10 Blazer. It’s on 39.5″ Swampers, D60 front, 14 bolt rear, disc brakes all the way around, aluminum wheels. This video is with just headers and the Holley carb, I’ve since put back the Q-Jet, and have really crappy glasspacks on it to try and get it running right without going completely deaf until it’s drivable. The choke on the carb is also gone, and that holley isn’t jetted right for the motor, hence the fiddling. With the qjet it starts instantly.

This is a video that I made using some of the pictures I shot during my trip to Vietnam (November 2010). I’ve been to some place in the North (Ha Noi, Ha Log Bay, Cat Ba island, Hai Phong, Bac Ha and Sa Pa) and then I went to Hoi An (in the central Vietnam) and to Ho Chi Minh city and Tay Ninh (in the South). Here you will see the pictures from the rural parts of Bac Ha and Sa Pa (near the border with China, in the North-West of Vietnam), including some villages of the tribes of Flower H’Mongs, Black H’ Mongs, Green H’Mongs and Red Dzao tribes. The other pictures from my trip are available in “Vietnam — part 1” video and will be available in “Vietnam — part 3” video, which will be coming soon.
