Nicht selten haben Brücken neben ihrer Funktion als Verkehrsbauwerke auch symbolischen Charakter und repräsentieren zum Beispiel ganze Städte. Genau diese Art der Bilder von Brücken interessiert die österreichische Fotografin Gisela Erlacher allerdings nicht. Viel mehr hat sie ihren Blick den Resträumen unter den Verkehrsbauwerken zugewendet.

Die ausgebildete Fotografin Gesche Jäger beschäftigte sich in ihrem Projekt „Väterland“ mit Geschlechterrollen – und wie der Titel schon verrät, insbesondere mit der Rolle von Vätern. Zweieinhalb Jahre lang begleitete sie Haushalte, in denen homosexuelle, geistig beeinträchtigte oder ehemals kinderhassende Männer versuchen, dem Vatersein gerecht zu werden.

Facebook may not be the best place to show off your photography, but it is still a fantastic way to quickly share snaps with close friends and family. After all, not everyone is on Flikr.
You’ve likely noticed that FB compresses photos causing minor, but super irritating, artifacts. Which basically negates all the hours you spent editing them to perfection. GUH.
There is a way to ensure your photos come out looking sharp on FB. Three ways, actually!
- 1. Upload 2048px size photos, you’ll get less compression.
- 2. Don’t sharpen the image beforehand.
- 3. Upload PNG, rather than JPG.
