Bei mir in der Familie war nicht der Vater der Fotograf, sondern meine Mutter. Bis heute ist für mich die Dacora, vermutlich eine Super Dignette electric-L, der Inbegriff von „Kamera“. Ich kann mich immer noch daran erinnern, wie im Sucher ein relativ hektischer Zeiger über die richtige Belichtung informierte. In rosa.

Als ich nach zwölf Jahren Abstinenz in den Norden des Vereinigten Königreiches zurückzog, begann ich eher zufällig ein neues Projekt. Natürlich war ich auch schon vorher ab und zu dort gewesen, jedoch ohne zu fotografieren. Fälschlicherweise nahm ich an, dass ich einfach wieder in das alte Leben eintauchen könnte, als ob ich nie weg gewesen wäre.

Landscapes are some of the easiest shots to take – no arranging meetups with others, no double chins, and that fresh air is super invigorating!
If you’re just getting the hang of creating gorgeous landscape shots, you’ll benefit from understanding how to add a sense of depth with composition. Think of your photo as having three parts: foreground, middle-ground and background. Try to make sure there something of interest in all three sections.

Es ist heiß, während Sara (Übersetzerin und Aktivistin, die mein Projekt begleitet) und ich im Golf des Caritas-Mitarbeiters Zef nach Ferizaj, der drittgrößten Stadt Kosovos fahren. Nach einem kurzen Besuch bei der Zentrale der Caritas fahren wir in ein Armenviertel, in dem Gani mit seinem Sohn lebt.
