Samsung lens production issues could delay Galaxy S5

With its 16MP ISOCELL 1/2.6-inch sensor, F2.2 aperture, 4K video, reflector integrated LED-flash, water-resistant body and hybrid AF-system, the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S5 looks like one of 2014’s hottest options for mobile photographers. Samsung explains the Galaxy S5’s ISOCELL sensor

Samsung revealed its innovative ISOCELL image sensor technology in September last year, but it has taken until now for the concept to be applied in a device. The Galaxy S5, announced at Mobile World Congress, is the first smartphone from the Korean manufacturer that comes with an ISOCELL camera. Android-powered Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 adds processing power

Samsung has released its newest Android-powered Galaxy Camera, aptly named the Galaxy Camera 2. While the GC2 retains the slim form factor, 21X zoom lens, and huge 4.8-inch touchscreen LCD of its predecessor, it adds a faster quad-core processor, double the memory, a more recent version of Android (4.3), and a more powerful battery. Naturally, the camera has Wi-Fi built in (with NFC), and has the latest and greatest Samsung ‘Smart’ features, including a ‘selfie alarm’.

Samsung unveils new curved smartphone, the ‘Galaxy Round’

After months of teasing and speculation, Samsung has finally announced its curved smartphone. The Galaxy Round is a 5.7-inch device with a curved 1080p, AMOLED display. Like its Galaxy S4 and Not 3 predecessors, the Galaxy Round features a 13-megapixel camera. The Galaxy Round’s unique shape allows for a different user experience. According to Samsung, the phone is more comfortable to hold than flat phones and users can take advantage of some features unique to the curved device. Samsung announces pricing for Android-based Galaxy NX camera

As the first hybrid smartphone and interchangeable lens camera, the Samsung Galaxy NX certainly cut a unique profile when we first looked at it in June. The Galaxy NX merges the features of Samsung smartphones, including a huge 4.8-inch touch LCD and 3G/4G/Wi-Fi connectivity, with a NX-mount ILC with a 20.3MP APS-C sensor, hybrid AF system, and 8.6 fps burst mode. At long last, the Galaxy NX has been given a price: $ 1,599.99 body only, or $ 1,699.99 bundled with an 18-55mm lens.
