    www.avid.com?cmpid=youtube Running throughout the three exhibit days of NAB 2009 was our main stage presentation “Creative Tools”. With help from Big Picture Post we demonstrated RED, XDCAM HD and P2 workflows, 3D stereoscopy and ICON surround sound mixing in post production workflows.

    For best viewing, watch the video in 480p and fullscreen modes. Tosee the images in 3D, hold your head up straight (very important or the two images won’t line up properly), look at the vertical center line and cross your eyes. The 3D image will appear in the center. If you don’t see the 3D picture right away, keep trying, it takes a bit of practice. Sorry if the music is annoying. I don’t know whether or not aliens exist, and if they do exist, whether or not they listen to music. If aliens do exist, and they do listen to music, maybe it sounds something like this. Probably not, but who knows? Someone in Roswell, perhaps.

    PART 2 of 3: Excellent quality binoculars are indispensable for many activities to include tactical operations, general recreation, watching sporting events, wildlife watching, and hunting. In this three part video series, I take an in-depth look at features, terminology (simplified), and specifications that will make a difference in the performance of your selected binos. My current reference standard for high value and yet super high quality medium-format binos are the excellent “Nikon Monarch ATB” series. These Monarch 8×42 and 10×42 binos compare very favorably against MUCH more expensive binoculars and they are generally THE class leader against all comers in terms of weight at a very light 21.5 oz (subject to change).   • Windows 7 – See Which Services Are Related to a Process

    If a svchost.exe image is using a lot of memory or CPU time, view its related services to help diagnose problems.

    The Windows 7 Task Manager is useful to manage processes and services, check the CPU and networking usage, and shut down stuck programs that don’t want to end. While using this tool, you may have noted many svchost.exe processes that act as Host Process for Windows Services. Curious about which services are related to which processes, especially if one is running amok, taking a lot of memory and/or CPU time?

    1. In the “Processes” tab of the “Windows Task Manager”, right-click a svchost.exe process….
