Panasonic introduces Lumix G 30mm macro and new 42.5mm portrait prime
Panasonic has announced two new additions to its Micro Four Thirds lens lineup, a 30mm F2.8 macro and 42.5mm F1.7 portrait lens. The company had previously hinted that the 30mm was in the works, and as promised it offers Mega O.I.S stabilization along with 240 fps drive AF. The 42.5mm F1.7 isn’t quite as fast (or presumably as expensive) as the existing Leica Nocticron 42.5mm F1.2. Both lenses will be available in May. Read more

Panasonic’s pocket camera is generally excellent and actually appears to have been designed with photographers in mind. However, it is not without its faults – as a frigid walk along the frozen shoreline of Lake Ontario proved. But equipped with a good lens and 4K video, the LX-100 makes an attractive offering.

Panasonic has taken the wraps off the Lumix DMC-GF7, a retro-styled 16MP mirrorless camera with a 180-degree upward-tilting screen ready for – you guessed it – selfies. Introduced at Photokina 2014, the Panasonic Lumix CM1 Android smartphone boasts a 20MP 1-inch type sensor with an f/2.8 lens. Panasonic offers up pair of slightly updated rugged cameras
Panasonic has released a pair of rugged cameras that have very small changes compared to their predecessors. The top-end model is the Lumix DMC-TS6 (FT6 outside of the US), which offers minor cosmetic changes versus the TS5.
