We’ve posted an assortment of photos from Canon’s EOS Rebel T7i / 800D, which is the midrange camera in Canon’s lower-end DSLR lineup. The T7i features a 24MP APS-C sensor with Dual Pixel autofocus, fully articulating LCD and snappy DIGIC 7 processor.
It’s Spring here in Seattle, so expect plenty of flower photos!

Recently the new Sigma 135mm F1.8 Art landed in the office, prompting us to get out there and shoot some portraits… from a distance. The Canon EOS M6 shares plenty of features with the company’s EOS M5 flagship mirrorless camera, including a 24MP APS-C sensor with Dual Pixel AF, a Digic 7 processor and a 3″ touchscreen. It offers one more control dial compared to its M3 predecessor, but stops short of offering the M5’s built-in EVF. With a loaner unit in hand we ventured out into the street to start putting it to use – take a look at what it can do.

With a Rebel on one side and an 80D on the other, the Canon EOS 77D appears to occupy an interesting space in Canon’s DSLR lineup. We haven’t wasted any time getting our loaner unit out into the great outdoors (and the great indoors, for that matter). Like its predecessor, the Tamron SP 70-200mm F2.8 G2 offers moisture-resistance, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We put the updated telezoom to work in one of the rainiest months in recent Seattle history. With improvements to autofocus as well as image stabilization, it’s a substantial upgrade and, thankfully, a lens that’s not afraid of a few showers.

The Leica M10 is our favorite digital M-series camera yet, and we’ve been itching to get our hands on it again, ever since we had to return an early pre-production unit to Leica. Fortunately, another camera arrived just in time for a recent trip to Japan.
We spent a few days with it in Yokohama, Tokyo, Kyoto and Kanazowa, and we’ve updated our gallery of samples. A shooting experience article is on the way, but in the meantime, check out our expanded gallery, including a few shots taken with a couple of very nice vintage lenses…

At first glance, the Panasonic DC-GH5 might appear to be more video-oriented than otherwise, but with an updated 20MP sensor, a new 12-60mm F2.8-4 kit lens bearing the coveted ‘Leica’ designation and refined autofocus performance, that doesn’t mean it’s not capable of shooting impressive stills as well. Panasonic has also told us they’ve been hard at work updating their JPEG engine, so we’ve taken it out on the town, to a Rugby match, and we’ve carefully analyzed its performance in the the studio to see how it really performs. The AF-P DX Nikkor 70-300mm F4.5-6.3 VR is a budget-friendly tele-zoom designed for Nikon’s APS-C DSLRs, translating to a 105-450mm equivalent view of the world. The lens debuted in August 2016 alongside a slightly cheaper version without Nikon’s Vibration Reduction. We’ve spent some time with the VR-equipped version of the lens – take a look at some sample images with the D5600 and D500.
