Sony FE 600mm F4 GM OSS sample gallery

It’s no secret that Sony aspires to dominate in the pro sports photography market, and this new stabilized 600mm F4 is about as professional as it gets. It’s well-built, fast-to-focus, weather-sealed and lighter than any other 600mm in its class (albeit barely).

While 600mm may not be a focal length we shoot at very often, we definitely walked away impressed after putting it through its paces at a Sony-sponsored event.

Sony Xperia 1 sample gallery

Sony’s flagship mobile device packs some powerful imaging features, including a rear triple-cam, Eye AF and 4K HDR video recording. It seems like a natural place to find sophisticated autofocus and video capture features given its pedigree, and we were eager to take it for a spin when it arrived in the office. Kamlan 50mm F1.1 II sample gallery

Kamlan has just launched the second version of its 50mm F1.1 lens for cameras with APS-C sensors, and we’ve been able to shoot with a sample copy to get an idea of how it performs.

Designed with Fujifilm, Sony, Micro Four Thirds and EOS M mounts in mind, this all-metal lens is all-manual and offers plenty of background blur when you want it, at an equivalent focal length of 75mm on the Sony a6500 we tested it on.

Fujifilm GFX 100 sample gallery with Raw conversions

We’ve been out shooting with the Fujifilm GFX 100 as much as possible, and while it’s running not-quite-final firmware, we’re able to share some converted Raw files in our latest batch of sample images. Image quality is unlikely to change significantly with the final firmware version, but bear in mind that it is still subject to change as you take a look through some fresh out-of-camera JPEGs and Raw conversions.

And goodness, a hundred megapixels of resolution is nothing to sneeze at.

Samsung Galaxy S10+ sample gallery

Samsung’s Galaxy S10+ is one of a few flagship phones to offer a triple-camera array, providing a wide-angle lens in addition to the usual standard and telephoto lenses. It may not be the lens you’ll want to use for most of your shooting, but it sure came in handy a few times as we were out shooting with the device. See for yourself how the phone handles a variety of scenes (and a couple of furry creatures for good measure).

While in Japan for the Fujifilm GFX 100 launch event this week, our DPReview TV team had the opportunity to spend a couple days taking photos on the streets of Tokyo. Sample gallery update: Canon RF 35mm F1.8 IS Macro

Canon’s RF 35mm F1.8 IS Macro is a compact, affordable prime lens for the new EOS R system. The only non – ‘L’ lens currently available for Canon’s mirrorless EOS R and RP, the 35mm F1.8 offers a versatile focal length for everyday shooting, optical stabilization and a useful semi-macro focus capability.

We’re working on a full review of the RF 35mm F1.8 right now, but in the meantime we just added several images to our previously-published sample gallery.

Olympus Tough TG-6 sample gallery

We’ve long held Olympus’s Tough cameras in high regard – they tend to be the most capable of the cameras in their class and also offer the best features, like Raw support. And even though the TG-6 is a modest update over the TG-5, it’s easily one of the best water/dust/crush-proof cameras you can get for under $ 500.

Fujifilm GFX 100 pre-production sample gallery

We recently had the opportunity to shoot in Florence, Italy with a pre-production sample of the Fujifilm GFX 100. This powerful medium-format camera improves over the GFX 50S and 50R with a new 100MP sensor, in-body stabilization system and 4K video.

We’ll be adding more real-world photographs and test samples as soon as we get hold of a reviewable GFX 100, but for now, our gallery of JPEGs should give you some idea of its capabilities.

All of the JPEGs in this gallery were shot with a pre-production Fujifilm GFX 100 and are used with permission. Image quality may not represent exactly the output from final shipping cameras but is likely to be extremely close. Please note that JPEG images shot in film simulation modes are presented as 50MP files. This behavior appears limited to our pre-production sample.
