Catherine’s inability to provide Henry with a male heir began to get on Henry VIII’s nerves, and his eye started to wander. Anne was a well-bred, cordial, and yet vivacious and exotic character whose dark eyes seemed to possess a power all their own. Anne’s intelligence and sophistication made those eyes all he more powerful, and she knew very much how to use them. King Henry VIII was soon hooked on the dark, alluring, fashionable fireball of Anne, who was also a skilled musician, dancer, and singer.
