Canon’s PowerShot G5 X is based around the same 20.2MP 1″-type sensor as its G9 X counterpart. With its SLR-style grip, EVF and bevy of external controls, the G5 X promises an enthusiast-friendly shooting experience in a solid and reasonably compact package. Canon’s PowerShot G9 X and G5 X offer two distinctly different shooting experiences, but are based around the same 20.2MP 1″-type sensor. The G5 X provides an SLR-style grip and an EVF with a 24-100mm equiv. F1.8-2.8 lens, while the smaller G9 X offers a 28-84mm equiv. F2.0-4.9 lens. The Canon EOS M10 makes its debut with a new collapsible 15-45mm F3.5-6.3 IS kit lens, taking up residence below the more advanced EOS M3 in that company’s mirrorless lineup. A replacement for the M2, the M10 offers an 18MP CMOS sensor, 3″ 1.04M dot tilting touch screen LCD, built-in Wi-Fi with NFC and 1080/30p video recording. Read more

Phottix launches Laso Transmitter and Receiver for Canon flashes
Phottix has launched its Laso Flash Trigger System today for the Canon RT Wireless radio flash system and the camera maker’s non-radio E-TTL flashes.
