Review of the Cotton Carrier Camera System

This is a review of the Cotton Carrier camera system. This is a great product for entry level to pros alike. If you want to have a way to securely attach your camera to you without it moving around, this is it!

Testing old Nikon 50mm f1.4 AI lens purchased on eBay. Shot at f1.4. Best viewed in HD. I think this lens has a very cinematic feel to it. I miss the Image Stabilising of Canon lenses, but that should be easily fixed with a monopod. For a comparison to a photograph of the same scene, see here: picasaweb.google.com

Pentax to ship more affordable WG-10 waterproof camera

With the WG-10 Pentax has created a more affordable waterproof digital camera, one that still withstands depths of 33 feet, as well as the usual drops, dust, cold, and pressure. With a 14MP backlit CMOS sensor, Pentax says the camera can produce ‘poster size’ images thanks to its new imaging engine, and can also capture 720p videos. Its 5x lens zooms from 28-140mm equivalent.

Flying helicopter camera captures video while streaming to smartphones

San Francisco-based startup Always Innovating has announced that it is working a tiny flying camera designed to follow you around and capture your every move on video which can be streamed directly to an Android smartphone. You’ll be able to control the MeCam – a tiny helicopter-like device – via voice commands and share the video via social media. The MeCam is still in development, but the company claims that it is ‘available for licensing’. Click through to learn more on connect.dpreview.com.

Think Tank to release Sub Urban Disguise pro camera shoulder bags

Think Tank Photo has announced the Sub Urban Disguise series of professional camera shoulder bags, to be available in February. These smaller capacity bags are distinguished by flip-top lids that open away from your body. They also feature front organizer pockets, stretchable side pockets and will be available in four sizes. The company has also announced an updated version of its Change-Up multi-function camera bag scheduled to be available around the same time. Prices and availability information to be confirmed.
