how much was that 80-200mm lens
canonsucks
for most lenses they don’t do much of anything. especially with a telephoto lens. the only time the hood is useful is if i am shooting in the direction of the sun, with it just outside the frame and it lowers the overall contrast of the image. most hoods do didily squat for reducing lens flare.
