This is short video I put together while in New York City (December 2009). It’s my second test with the Canon 7D. Equipment used: Canon 7D, Nikkor 50mm/f1.4 (w/Fotodiox pro adapter), Canon 10-22 f/3.5-4.5. Canon 28-135 f/3.5-5.6 Transcoded with CineForm Neoscene. Edited and graded in Sony Vegas Pro 9. www.facebook.com

nice vid saw them a few months ago and i fimd also in ny! bud your movie is very nice! and every body that say why dith you film with a dslr wacht this movie.
sorry for the bad english!
Yes, your project settings should also be 24p. If your PC is fast enough and can edit H264 files without compromising playback quality, you don’t necessarily need to transcode them. Cineform upconverts the files to 4:2:2, which allows for better color correction (and faster playback for slower systems). It all depends on your workflow.
If I record 1080p 24p. Should I edit in Vegas Pro 10 in 24p? Also Vegas 10 edits mov. files just fine. What’s the advantage of converting files with cineform neoscene prior to editing?
Great video I have a 7d just learning to use it what kind of mount did you use this cant be hand held right? can you recommend any good sites for tips and techniques to help ?

great camera, great video, great town, great country, great people”
Nicely Done!! 🙂
I’m Getting My very own 7D soon!
I definitely recommend an IS lens if you are going to hand hold the camera.
I might get the 7D with the 28-135 IS kit. I have “L” lenses already but I have no IS lens. I’m hoping the IS will help for hand holding video.
Is this IS lens worth it for video?
Ben Woodward composed the song (Oakwood Productions).
Could you tell me who does the music? It sounds like a cover of Clocks by Coldplay.
Was there any quality loss you could see through the transcoding with cineform?
I transcoded the files with CineForm Neoscene and then imported them into Vegas. I used Sony’s .mp4 codec to compress the video for YouTube.
Did you edit this with original files straight into Vegas? Also what settings did you use to output HD to YouTube? Great footage. 5 stars
great looking footage and nice editing as well!
