  • HTC EVO 3D – new lockscreen & weather animations with Sense 3.0

    Link: www.smartkeitai.com The HTC EVO 3D not only comes with Android 2.3.3, but it also features HTC’s updated interface, Sense 3.0. In this video, we take a look at two new prominent features of the Sense experience, the customizable lockscreen and redesigned weather animations. As you will see, the lockscreen can be switched with different features and there are now four changeable shortcuts along the bottom to launch directly into specific applications upon unlocking the device. The weather animation have been revamped as well, which is a welcome addition since the older animations were starting to feel somewhat stale. This episode is an experiment using the Samsung camera’s pause feature to cut together the entire show all in camera.     If you’re only using one worksheet in an Excel 2010 workbook, why display the worksheet tabs if you’ll never use them? Also learn how to hide one or both scroll bars if not needed.

    While some complicated Microsoft Excel 2010 workbooks may have dozens, if not more worksheets, you may sometimes create workbooks that only require one worksheet tab. In this case, why show the worksheet tabs if you don’t need to use them? By hiding these tabs, and also the horizontal and / or vertical scroll bars, you can slightly increase the room onscreen used to display your workbook.

    Chinese accessory maker Match Technical has introduced a version of its ‘Thumbs Up’ accessory grip for the Fujifilm X100. The Thumbs Up EP-5S is an updated version of the grip we featured in our Leica M9 preview, and slots into the camera’s hot shoe. It features a revised, ‘ergonomic profile’ thumb rest, includes a silicone insert to cushion the join between the grip and the camera, and is available in either black or silver. (via DCWatch)

  • Just Posted: Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 in-depth review

    Just published: Our in-depth review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3. With the touchscreen-equipped GF3, Panasonic goes further to embrace compact camera upgraders, but makes yet another break from the chunky, enthusiast-friendly ergonomics of the GF1. The smallest Micro Four Thirds camera yet introduces some new features, including all-area AF system and slightly improved JPEG image quality at high ISO settings.
