Features include visible web tab or freeform region capture, plus the ability on many pages to capture the entire page with the screen capture tool handling horizontal and vertical scrolling (the author tested this on a couple of pages with good results – your mileage may vary with especially large pages)….

Microsoft Publisher 2010 – Designing a Document for the Screen? Show Pixels in the Ruler

06 Aug

If you are designing a document in Microsoft Publisher 2010 that is meant for on-screen display rather than as a hardcopy, change the ruler measurement units to pixels.

Are you designing a document in Microsoft Publisher 2010 that is meant to be displayed onscreen rather than printed?

If so, the default ruler measurement units of inches or centimeters may not make much sense. With a simple tweak, you can change Publisher 2010’s on-screen rulers to show measurements in pixels….

Microsoft Visio 2010 – View Diagram in Full Screen

15 Dec

Quickly scan your Visio 2010 diagram in full-screen mode, hiding toolbars, status bars, and other onscreen elements.

Instead of constantly zooming in and out of your Microsoft Visio 2010 diagram when you need to see a “bird’s eye” view, a simpler option may be to switch to a Full Screen view. While you cannot edit a diagram in this view, it does hide all menus, status bars, the Windows Taskbar, etc., allowing you to completely concentrate on your opened diagram.

Here are a few ways to access the Full Screen view:…

Anaglyph 3D – Object out of the screen

12 Jun

15/07/2009 : 3rd test of a computer generated anaglyph movie (OpenGL & C++). This time, the object is between the screen and you. As a first step, the helicopter is brought to you, but without the 3D effect. Then it returns to the screen, and the 3rd dimension is added before it does so again. If you open your hand and put it to the lower edge of the screen, you really feel that the helicopter is over ! There are sequences of static position, so you can try to touch it ! Warning : beware of the blades … 🙂 Video resolution : 1280×720 (HD) As usual, you need colored glasses to see the 3rd dimension. The Red/Blue combination gives the best result.
